This is the third TV channel created by the Radio Broadcasting of the Islamic Republic of Iran and began broadcasting on December 4, 1993. This channel is often referred to as a youth channel due to the large number of sports programs.
The channel broadcast major Iranian sporting events, mini-series, comedies and films (both foreign and domestic). On August 7, 2016 in Tehran and the provincial capitals, the trial of the HD broadcasting of the TV3 network began.
