Kantipur Television, commonly known as KTV, is a private television station based in Kathmandu, Nepal. The Chairman and Managing Director is Kailash Sirohia. Launched in July 2002, KTV is licensed for terrestrial and satellite broadcasting.
The head office of Kantipur Television is located in Tinkun.
On July 12, 2017, KTV celebrated its 14th anniversary. Since February 2015, the company has been operating a further subsidiary channel called Kantipur Gold.
However, since December 2016, the Kantipur Gold channel has been stopped. During the anniversary, many journalists and the best employees of the company were awarded.
The network began broadcasting in HD on December 14, 2017. On March 19, 2021, Kantipur Television launched Kantipur Cineplex HD, a new television station in Nepal specializing in film broadcasting with Highlights Nepal, the largest film distributor and digital partner in Nepal.
