News18 India is an Indian media TV channel owned by Network 18. It was launched in 2005 as Channel 7 by Dainik Jagaran, acquired in 2006 by Network 18 and renamed IBN7. In 2016, it adopted its current name.
In 2013, News18 India launched a live version of its parent channel on channel 520 of the UK platform Sky TV News18, “which reflected the interests and needs of a large and actively involved diaspora around the world”; Network founder and editor Raghav Bahl said the channel's launch marked “his country's renaissance on the world stage [which was] evident from an almost insatiable global interest in his present and future.
