Shalom Television is an Indian Catholic Christian TV station based in Kerala. The channel broadcasts programs including the daily Holy Mass, as well as the format of the Trent Mass, the traditional recitation of the Nasrani Rosary.
It also broadcasts other programs, including interviews, music shows, contests, quizzes, chat shows, short films, and family programs.
Shalom was first introduced in 1989 as a small prayer group. It was founded by the Christians of St. Thomas and was subsequently expanded in 1998 as a programming unit on Asianet. It was officially launched as an independent channel in March 2005.
The channel has been further developed in publishing media including Shalom Times, Shalom Tidings and Sunday Shalom. The channel has expanded its activities around the world, including Australia, the United Kingdom and North America.
