WUSA, the virtual and digital VHF Channel 9, is a CBS television station licensed for the US capital city of Washington, DC. Owned by Tegna Inc. (based in the nearby Virginia suburb of McLean), it actually serves as the company's flagship television property.
WUSA's studios and transmitter are located at Broadcast House on Wisconsin Avenue in the Tenleytown area of northwest Washington.  WUSA is the largest CBS subsidiary by market size (the KHOU subsidiary in Houston is the second largest and WGCL-TV Meredith in Atlanta is the third largest), which is not owned or operated by the network.
The station's signal is relayed to a low-power W27EI-D digital transmitter station in Moorfield, West Virginia  (owned by Valley TV Cooperative, Inc.). It also maintains a channel-sharing agreement with WJAL licensed in Silver Spring, Maryland (Channel 68, owned by Entravision Communications).
WUSA is available via cable on Comcast Xfinity Channel 29 in Washington DC (ESPN is on Cable 9) and Channel 9 in the Maryland and Virginia suburbs, as well as on Cox Communications and RCN 9.
