Haley Reinhart: Bouncer Arrested in Bar Fight Over Friend

TMZ reports that the bouncer involved in the altercation at the Lamplighter Inn, where Haley Reinhart’s friend was assaulted, has been arrested and faces multiple felony charges.

According to authorities, Adam Sobanski was arrested and booked on two felony counts: aggravated battery by strangulation and aggravated battery causing great bodily harm.

Investigators say Sobanski applied a chokehold without legal justification, causing the victim—identified as Alan Chislof—to have difficulty breathing. The charge for great bodily harm stems from allegations that Sobanski struck Chislof in the face several times with a closed fist.

The incident began when Haley Reinhart and her friends became involved in a confrontation with bouncers at the Lamplighter Inn. Chislof sustained significant injuries, including a concussion, lacerations to his temple and just above his eye, as well as bruising and a hematoma.

During the same incident, Haley Reinhart—known from American Idol season 10—was also detained at the scene after an allegation that she struck one of the bouncers in the head. Her court date has been scheduled for August 2. Speaking on her behalf, attorney Dina LaPolt said, “We believe that she will be exonerated of all charges once the investigation is completed.”

The encounter drew attention after video of the melee circulated online, showing heated exchanges and physical contact between patrons and security staff. Local authorities reviewed the footage as part of their investigation into both the bouncer’s conduct and the events that led to Reinhart’s arrest.

Medical reports and accounts from witnesses describe substantial injuries sustained by Chislof. Emergency responders treated him for a concussion and multiple facial lacerations; he also had visible bruising and developed a hematoma following the confrontation. Those injuries are cited in the aggravated-battery-causing-great-bodily-harm charge filed against Sobanski.

Law enforcement officials emphasized that the strangulation count reflects the severity of the chokehold, which reportedly interfered with the victim’s breathing and placed his health at risk. The aggravated-battery-by-strangulation charge is significant and can carry substantial penalties if a conviction is secured.

Reinhart’s attorney reiterated that the singer intends to cooperate with investigators and expects the charges against her to be dropped after a full review of evidence and statements. As the legal process unfolds, both the criminal case and any potential civil claims could hinge on witness testimony, video evidence, and medical documentation.

Readers should note that the situation remains under active investigation by local authorities. No final determinations about legal outcomes have been made public beyond the formal charges against Sobanski and the scheduled appearance for Reinhart.
