(New York – April 3, 2012) Kris Allen will debut the music video for his lead single “The Vision of Love” from his upcoming album THANK YOU CAMELLIA exclusively on VEVO on Wednesday, April 4th. The video emphasizes compassion and resilience, pairing a melodic pop-rock single with a powerful visual narrative.
Directed by Lenny Bass and shot last month in Los Angeles, the “The Vision of Love” video follows the lives of two teenagers: one struggling with insecurity and loneliness, the other dealing with relentless bullying. Through small acts of kindness and human connection, the story illustrates how empathy can help people reclaim their confidence and inner strength.
Press reaction to “The Vision of Love” has been enthusiastic. Entertainment Weekly described the single as “driving-pop,” and Yahoo! Music called it a “damn good” hit. Co-written by Kris Allen with Nasri and Adam Messinger and produced by Nasri and Messinger—whose credits include work with high-profile pop and R&B artists—the track is available now on iTunes and all major digital retailers.
Kris Allen demonstrates his songwriting and vocal strengths on this single. Kris co-wrote every song on THANK YOU CAMELLIA and has taken an active role in the album’s production.
