FOX has announced its fall premiere schedule for new and returning series. Highlights include the return of Glee on Tuesday, September 20; a two-night launch for the new series The X Factor on Wednesday, September 21 and Thursday, September 22; and a live broadcast of the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday, September 18, airing in all time zones.

The 2011-2012 season on FOX opens with one of television’s biggest events: the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards, airing live in all time zones on Sunday, Sept. 18 (8:00-11:00 PM ET / 5:00-8:00 PM PT). Following that marquee event, FOX rolls out a mix of returning favorites and new series across weekdays and weekends.
Glee returns on Tuesday, Sept. 20 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT). Immediately after Glee, FOX premieres NEW GIRL (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT), a new comedy starring Zooey Deschanel as an endearing and quirky young woman who moves in with three single men, setting off unexpected changes in their lives. Comedy night continues with the return of the Chance family on Raising Hope (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT).
Wednesdays and Thursdays will be transformed by a spectacular two-night debut of The X Factor, premiering Wednesday, Sept. 21 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) and continuing Thursday, Sept. 22 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT). Hosted by Steve Jones and featuring judges Simon Cowell, Antonio “L.A.” Reid, Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul, the singing competition will award a recording contract with Syco/Sony Music to the next breakout solo artist or group.
Friday nights return to suspense and culinary drama with Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) followed by the return of FRINGE (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on Sept. 23. The science-fiction series continues its Friday run with new mysteries and serialized storytelling throughout the season.
Animation takes over Sunday evenings beginning Sept. 25 with season premieres of THE Simpsons (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT), The Cleveland Show (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT), Family Guy (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) and American Dad (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT). On Sunday, Oct. 30 (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT), FOX will premiere ALLEN GREGORY, a new animated comedy created by and featuring the voice of Jonah Hill. The series follows a pretentious seven-year-old as he navigates the challenges of attending elementary school with peers his own age.
On Monday, Sept. 26 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), FOX presents a special two-hour event premiere of TERRA NOVA, an epic adventure drama that follows an ordinary family traveling back in time to a prehistoric world. TERRA NOVA moves into its regular time slot with an all-new episode on Monday, Oct. 3 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT), followed by the eighth season premiere of House (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT).
The crime-solving team from the Jeffersonian returns for new episodes of Bones on Thursday, Nov. 3 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), airing after an all-new episode of The X Factor (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT).
FOX also debuts the family comedy I HATE MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER on Wednesday, Nov. 23 (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT). Starring Jaime Pressly and Katie Finneran as lifelong friends and single moms, the series centers on their worries as their privileged, pampered daughters begin to resemble the girls who once tormented them in high school.
Long-running series COPS returns for its 24th season on Saturday, Sept. 10 (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT), with an encore episode immediately following. AMERICA’S Most Wanted launches its quarterly two-hour special on Saturday, Oct. 29 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT).
As previously announced, FOX will also air several summer premieres: HELL’S KITCHEN on Monday, July 18 and Tuesday, July 19 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT), IN THE FLOW WITH AFFION CROCKETT on Sunday, Aug. 14 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), and BURIED TREASURE on Wednesday, Aug. 24 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT).
