After nearly three years in the studio, she confirmed the album will be called Chemistry.
“I’ve been working on this project for close to three years now. I wasn’t sure I was going to release it, but I am. The album is called Chemistry,” Clarkson said in the video. She explained that the title reflects the full emotional arc of a relationship rather than a single mood or reaction.

She reflected on how chemistry can be “amazing, sexy, cool, fun,” but also “very bad for you,” and said that duality is central to the album’s narrative.
