Country music superstar Blake Shelton will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday, May 12. The star — the 2,755th on the Walk of Fame — will be awarded in the Recording category. The unveiling ceremony will be live-streamed beginning at 11:30 a.m. PT, allowing fans coast to coast to watch the tribute in real time.

“Blake Shelton is one of the music and television world’s most popular entertainers. He keeps The Voice audiences in stitches with his witty banter and he has captured many fan’s hearts with his soulful country voice. To think that he began his career at the age of 17 is amazing. We are proud to have him join the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” added Martinez.

The star ceremony will be emceed by Walk of Famer Ellen K. Joining the stage to honor Shelton will be his wife and former The Voice coach Gwen Stefani and longtime television host Carson Daly, both of whom have shared the spotlight with him over the years.

Born, raised and currently residing in Oklahoma, Shelton maintains strong ties to his home state while building a career that has left an indelible mark on country music. Over the course of his career he has notched 28 No. 1 country singles, amassed more than 11 billion global streams, and sold in excess of 13 million albums and 52 million singles. Those figures underline his broad commercial success and enduring appeal.

Shelton’s accolades include a long list of industry honors: six Academy of Country Music Awards (ACMs), three American Music Awards (AMAs), ten Country Music Association Awards (CMAs), eleven CMT Awards, and six People’s Choice Awards, among others. Beyond music, he has expanded his television presence through projects he executive produces, including the celebrity game show Barmageddon for USA Network, which he developed alongside Carson Daly and which has been renewed for a second season.

After 23 seasons, Blake will leave The Voice

Shelton is serving as a coach on season 23 of The Voice, which he has confirmed will be his final season on the series. Over more than two decades with the show, he has mentored nine champions, guiding new artists to victory and helping shape contemporary country and pop performers.

His winning artists include Bryce Leatherwood, Chloe Kohanski, Sundance Head, Craig Wayne Boyd, Danielle Bradbery, Cassadee Pope, Jermaine Paul, Todd Tilghman and Cam Anthony. Those victories reflect his ability to spot and nurture talent across a variety of styles and backgrounds.

Shelton has also been active in charitable work throughout his career. He donated $200,000 to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, and in response to the devastating 2013 tornadoes he teamed with NBC for the telethon Healing in the Heartland: Relief Benefit Concert, which raised more than $6 million for United Way of Central Oklahoma with the help of artists such as Reba McEntire, Usher, Rascal Flatts, Vince Gill and Ryan Tedder. He has also contributed half a million dollars to the Jimmy Everest Center at the University of Oklahoma, a hospital dedicated to treating children with blood cancer and blood disorders.

In business ventures tied to his passion for live music and hospitality, Shelton partnered with Ryman Hospitality Properties to open Ole Red, a chain of entertainment-themed restaurants and bars. The first Ole Red opened in his hometown of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, in 2017; additional locations followed in Nashville and Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and Orlando, Florida, with recent expansion plans bringing the brand to Las Vegas. These venues combine dining, live performances and memorabilia that celebrate Shelton’s country roots.

Receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame recognizes not only Shelton’s chart success and television popularity but also his broader influence on American entertainment. The Walk of Fame honor highlights a career that spans studio recordings, live performances, television mentorship and philanthropic efforts. For fans and colleagues alike, the ceremony will be a moment to celebrate Shelton’s contributions to country music and to popular culture.

As the date approaches, fans can tune in to the live stream to watch the official unveiling and hear tributes from friends and collaborators who have shared in Shelton’s journey from Oklahoma singer-songwriter to a household name in music and television.
