The Amazing Race 35 Recap – Week 4 RESULTS
Tonight’s episode of The Amazing Race on CBS delivered a fast-paced leg with a mix of physical Detours, a tile-matching Roadblock, and tense Pit Stop finishes. This live recap covers all the major moments, team choices, placements and the elimination that closed out Week 4 of Season 35.
The leg resumed with Steve & Anna Leigh already in motion; there had been no elimination at the prior episode because the leg was not complete. Their next destination was Café T? ?i?c, where they found a Detour with two options: Stand or Deliver. The Stand task required teams to collect fish from a market distributor and arrange them attractively in a stall, including specially marked eels in a red container. Deliver required teams to transport four mattresses 300 yards to a nearby hotel—an endurance-heavy option that demanded repeated trips.
Steve & Anna Leigh elected to do Stand. Joel & Garrett and Rob & Corey opted for Deliver; Joel & Garrett were quick to start hauling mattresses while Rob & Corey initially got lost finding the truck and fell behind. Todd & Ashlie reached the mattress truck before Rob & Corey, and Joel & Garrett returned during their second run. Those three teams then cooperated to locate the hotel faster. Meanwhile, several other teams—Robbin & Chelsea, Morgan & Lena, Joe & Ian, Greg & John, and Andrea & Malaina—were en route to the café in taxis, and Jocelyn & Victor along with Liam & Yeremi were trying to catch up.
Steve & Anna Leigh initially thought they’d completed the Stand Detour, but they failed inspection when they missed the requirement to display live eels in a designated red container. After correcting the mistake, they received their next clue and headed to Ong Pagoda. Back at the café, other teams split between the two Detour tasks. Joe & Ian chose Deliver and experimented with carrying two mattresses at once, which briefly gave them an edge. Greg & John and Andrea & Malaina tackled Stand, while Jocelyn & Victor and Morgan & Lena also worked the fish displays.
Teams doing Stand were visibly grossed out by the slimy fish and live eels, while Deliver teams grew exhausted from the repeated runs. Once the Detours wrapped up, Steve & Anna Leigh reached Ong Pagoda and then proceeded to Hung King Temple, where the next Roadblock awaited: one team member needed to match a tile to a provided photo. The Roadblock also doubled as the Pit Stop—the last team to check in at Hung King Temple would be eliminated.
At the Roadblock, multiple teams rotated through the tile-matching challenge. Chelsea was quick and found a match early; she and Robbin checked in first with host Phil Keoghan. Robbin & Chelsea finished in 1st place and won the prize trip to Madrid, Spain. A steady stream of teams followed—Steve & Anna Leigh, Todd & Ashlie, Joe & Ian and Rob & Corey all completed the Roadblock and checked in in succession.
As the leg progressed, Liam & Yeremi surprised several teams by completing the Roadblock faster than some who had been there longer. Andrea & Malaina and Greg & John also secured their finishes, and Joel & Garrett eventually found their match to check in near the back of the pack. Tensions rose as the final few teams worked the tile puzzle; Morgan watched anxiously from the sidelines while Lena and Victor continued searching.
Lena finally found a match and, with Morgan, sprinted to the mat to secure safety as Team #10. Victor later located his match, but by then he and Jocelyn already understood their position. Phil delivered the elimination notice: Jocelyn & Victor have been eliminated from the race. The pair expressed gratitude for the experience and said they had no regrets, reflecting on how the competition brought them closer together.
