Adam Lambert, LeAnn Rimes join Guy Sebastian on The Voice Australia panel
The next season of The Voice Australia will feature a high-profile coaching lineup that includes American Idol alum Adam Lambert, country superstar LeAnn Rimes, Australian pop singer and fellow Australian Idol alumnus Guy Sebastian, and acclaimed singer-songwriter Kate Miller-Heidke. The series is set to air on Channel 7 and 7plus later this year and brings a mix of international and local talent to mentor the show’s contestants.
Sonia Kruger, the 2023 TV Week Gold Logie Award-winner, will return as host and guide the competition as a new group of aspiring artists take the stage. With this fresh coaching panel, The Voice Australia looks to blend diverse musical perspectives and industry experience to help discover and refine emerging artists.
Adam Lambert joins the show with a strong background in televised music competitions and mentorship. In the United States he has served as both a mentor and guest judge on American Idol, and he has appeared as a guest judge on the X Factor UK. Lambert has also contributed his expertise to shows such as Clash of the Cover Bands and Starstruck, demonstrating a consistent ability to guide performers and offer constructive feedback. His presence adds pop-rock credibility and an international perspective to the coaching team.

“It’s going to be a great group of people,” says LeAnn Rimes
LeAnn Rimes revealed her new role during an appearance on the Australian morning show Sunrise. “I’m thrilled,” she said. “I’ve literally been holding this secret for so long, and it feels so good to finally let it out.” Rimes reflected on her long career after being signed at age 11, noting that three decades in the music business have offered her valuable lessons she hopes to share with contestants.
Rimes emphasized the emotional connection she feels with Australian audiences and described the coaching role as a chance to give back. “I look forward to returning the love, sharing my experiences, and hearing fresh, promising talent,” she said, adding that she was excited to collaborate with the other coaches. “They all seem so kind and we’re going to have a great time.”
“I am thrilled to be joining the panel of The Voice this season,” says Adam Lambert
Adam Lambert expressed enthusiasm about returning to Australia and participating in the popular coaching format. “I am thrilled to be joining the panel of The Voice this season,” he said. “I have such great memories in Australia and can’t wait to spend some time down under. Australia has contributed some iconic talents and artists to pop culture, and it’ll be fun to help coach the next generation of performers.”
Lambert added that viewers can expect strong song choices, memorable performances, and a high-fashion presence from his team. His approach is likely to combine theatrical vocal technique with commercial pop sensibility, offering contestants both performance and presentation guidance.
Guy Sebastian, the sole returning coach, welcomed the new lineup and praised his fellow artists. “It’s so good to be back on the talent show,” he said. “Adding the talent of LeAnn, Kate and Adam to the show this year is going to be incredible. They’re all world-class artists who I know will bring something fresh and inspiring to the season. Let’s go!”
Kate Miller-Heidke described her excitement about joining the panel and working alongside the other coaches. “The art and craft of singing has been at the center of my life,” she said. “I feel like I have learned things that might help young or inexperienced performers find their voice, interpret material, and build confidence on stage.” Miller-Heidke’s background in both theatrical and contemporary music suggests she will emphasize storytelling, vocal technique, and creative interpretation.
Together, the four coaches bring a wide range of musical styles—pop, country, alternative, and theatrical—offering contestants varied perspectives on song choice, arrangement, and stagecraft. With a returning host in Sonia Kruger and a refreshed coaching panel, The Voice Australia aims to deliver compelling auditions, inspiring mentoring sessions, and standout live performances that will appeal to both local and international audiences.
The upcoming season will be streamed on 7plus and broadcast on Channel 7 later this year. Fans can expect the familiar format of blind auditions, battles, and live shows, with added flair from the new coaches as they compete to build the strongest teams and guide contestants toward success.
