America’s Got Talent season 19 returns May 28 with Sofia Vergara joining Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum

NBC’s summer lineup returns with fan-favorite competition series and new episodes of established formats. Leading the schedule is America’s Got Talent (AGT), which kicks off its 19th season on Tuesday, May 28, followed by new installments of Password and a full slate of reality programming across the summer months.

This season of AGT brings back executive producer and head judge Simon Cowell alongside global fashion icon Heidi Klum and longtime judge Howie Mandel. International star Sofia Vergara returns to the judges’ panel, joining this veteran trio. Terry Crews is back as host, guiding the acts and engaging with contestants as the competition unfolds. The season will once again offer contestants the chance to win the $1 million grand prize that has become AGT’s hallmark.

Sofia Vergara returns to the AGT judges panel

After missing the AGT: Fantasy League installment, Sofia Vergara rejoins the core judging panel for season 19. Her return reunites an experienced set of personalities known for candid critiques, high-energy reactions, and memorable moments. Viewers can expect a mix of talent—vocalists, dancers, magicians, comedians and novelty acts—competing for audience attention and the judges’ votes as the season advances from auditions to live shows.

Season 19 began filming auditions March 16 at the Pasadena Civic Center

AGT began taping auditions at its traditional venue, the Pasadena Civic Center, on Saturday, March 16. Filming for the audition rounds continued through April 6, allowing thousands of hopefuls to showcase original and polished routines before the judges and a live audience. Local fans interested in attending future tapings can sign up for free tickets through On Camera Audiences.

The summer broadcast schedule will pause during the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, which run July 26 through August 11. During that window, NBC’s competition programming, including AGT, will take a temporary break. All NBC programs, including AGT and the other series listed below, will be available to stream on Peacock the day after their NBC telecast.
