The Voice 25 Playoffs: Meghan Trainor and Anthony Ramos to advise Chance the Rapper and Reba McEntire

The Voice Season 25 continues its taped Playoffs with a two-part round that wraps up Monday, April 29. The final Playoffs episode will spotlight Teams Chance the Rapper and Reba McEntire. On April 25, NBC confirmed special advisors who will assist the two coaches as their artists prepare for the next stage of the competition.

Pop star and recent American Idol mentor Meghan Trainor joins Chance the Rapper to help fine-tune performances and stage presence ahead of the Playoffs. On Reba McEntire’s side, Broadway and screen actor-singer Anthony Ramos — known for his work in Hamilton and the film adaptation of In the Heights — will offer coaching and artistic guidance. Both advisors bring performance experience across popular music and musical theater, providing fresh perspectives for the contestants.

During the Battles, two artists earned Playoff Passes that allowed them to move directly into the Playoffs without competing in the Knockouts. Nadège received a Playoff Pass from Chance the Rapper, while L. Rodgers earned a Playoff Pass from Reba McEntire. That pass enabled them to skip the Knockouts and rejoin their teams for the Playoffs, where they will compete for spots in the live shows.

Team Chance

Here are the artists who remain on Chance the Rapper’s team as they head into the Playoffs. Each brings a distinct musical style and a chance to advance to the live rounds:

  • Pop singer Serenity Arce
  • Singer-songwriter Kyle Schuesler – stolen from Dan + Shay in the Knockouts
  • Jazzy soul singer Nadège – earned a Playoff Pass

With Meghan Trainor joining Chance as an advisor, this team will work on arrangement choices, vocal dynamics, and how to deliver memorable television performances. The Playoffs will test each artist’s ability to stand out under higher stakes, with coaches making difficult decisions about who advances to the live shows.

Team Reba

Reba McEntire’s roster heads into the Playoffs with a mix of experienced performers and unique vocal talent. Notably, the only remaining duo on the show, Justin and Jeremy Garcia (the Garcia Bros), are on Reba’s team.

Anthony Ramos will work with Reba and her artists on performance storytelling, phrasing, and stagecraft. The Garcia brothers bring harmony-driven pop, while Reba’s solo artists cover multiple genres, from R&B to country, making this team one to watch as the competition narrows.

Team John Legend and Team Dan + Shay set their teams last week

Last week’s Playoffs performance episode (Monday, April 22) saw Teams John Legend and Dan + Shay finalize their rosters by cutting two contestants from each five-member team. For those episodes, Saweetie served as an advisor to Dan + Shay, while Latin star Maluma assisted John Legend as the teams prepared their live-studio performances.

Team Dan + Shay

Dan + Shay moved forward with pop-country singer Tae Lewis, Playoff Pass holder Madison Curbelo, and Nashville veteran Karen Waldrup. The duo eliminated Olivia Rubini and Anya True during the recent cuts.
