NBC Unveils 2024–25 Fall Schedule, Confirms Monday/Tuesday Slots for The Voice Season 26

NBC has released its fall 2024–25 prime-time lineup, and The Voice will continue its two-night format. The singing competition will air on Monday nights from 8:00–10:00 p.m. ET/PT and return for a second night on Tuesday at 9:00–10:00 p.m. ET/PT, with episodes available to stream the following day on Peacock. This schedule keeps The Voice in a major early-week position for viewers and for the streaming audience who watch on Peacock.

Country superstar and multi-hyphenate Reba McEntire, who served as a coach on recent cycles of The Voice, stars in a new half-hour multi-camera comedy, Happy’s Place, which is slated for Friday nights at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT. The addition of Reba’s sitcom anchors Friday’s comedy block and gives fans of her work another way to see her on NBC this season.

The make-up of The Voice coaching panel often shifts from season to season. For the most recent cycles, the panel included John Legend, Chance the Rapper, Reba McEntire and country duo Dan + Shay. NBC has said it will announce the official coaching lineup for season 26 in the months ahead. Historically, The Voice begins production over the summer and continues into early fall; seasons 24 and 25 followed that pattern, filming across the summer and wrapping in October.

NBC confirmed that the current season of The Voice will stage its two-night finale on May 20, with the winner being crowned on May 21. Following The Voice, NBC’s long-running summer staple, America’s Got Talent, returns the next week with a premiere on Tuesday, May 28. Both series remain central to NBC’s summer viewing strategy and to Peacock’s streaming lineup, as many episodes become available online after their broadcast premieres.

Sports programming continues to play a significant role in NBC’s weekend and prime-time lineup. Sunday Night Football and its pregame coverage under the Football Night in America banner remain a focal point for the network, and Saturday college football broadcasts—including Big Ten and Notre Dame windows—will be available both on NBC and on Peacock in many markets.

NBC’s fall slate balances returning procedural blocks, football coverage and new series. Viewers will see the network maintain familiar franchises on weeknights while introducing fresh comedies and dramas that aim to broaden the schedule’s appeal. The new sitcom anchored by Reba represents NBC’s investment in recognizable talent to lead a comedy hour, while returning staples such as the Chicago franchise and Law & Order continue to occupy important midweek and Thursday time slots.

Peacock’s role in NBC’s programming strategy is also emphasized in the schedule: select live sports and major series will be available to stream, often the day after broadcast, giving audiences more ways to watch and catch up. As networks continue to blend linear premieres with streaming windows, NBC’s approach reflects a hybrid model designed to reach both traditional TV viewers and digital audiences.
