ABC revealed its 2024–25 fall primetime lineup today during the network’s Upfront presentation for advertisers in New York City. The schedule emphasizes familiar franchise tentpoles while accommodating live sports and a selection of midseason returns. This announcement helps viewers and advertisers plan for key programs such as Dancing with the Stars, The Golden Bachelorette, and a slate of returning reality and drama series.

One of the clearest scheduling decisions is that Dancing with the Stars will remain on TUESDAY nights, a move designed to make room for Monday Night Football on broadcast nights when the game airs. Historically, DWTS has aired on Monday evenings, and during season 31 the show streamed exclusively on Disney+. When production and distribution circumstances changed, ABC brought the series back to broadcast television while continuing to stream it live on Disney+, and the series has since settled into a Tuesday slot. There has been no official lineup released yet for season 33’s celebrity cast.

Following the strong performance of The Golden Bachelor, ABC has added a season of The Golden Bachelorette to the fall lineup. The network continues to expand its programming around proven reality formats, pairing dramatic relationships with the broader mix of scripted series and unscripted hits throughout the week.

American Idol season 23 will debut at mid-season

In addition to the fall premieres, ABC confirmed several notable series will return or debut in midseason. New seasons of returning dramas such as The Rookie and Will Trent are scheduled for midseason debuts, alongside the final season of the long-running family comedy The Conners. Popular competition and unscripted series including American Idol, The Bachelor, Celebrity Jeopardy!, and Celebrity Wheel of Fortune hosted by Ryan Seacrest are also slated to air later in the season.

ABC is also adding a new iteration of a familiar format: Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, executive produced by Reese Witherspoon and hosted by organizing duo Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin of The Home Edit, is scheduled to debut midseason. The network has indicated that it will announce specific fall premiere dates soon and will reveal additional midseason scheduling details later.
