A new episode of Survivor 47 airs tonight on CBS — here is a live recap of the action from Day 4, covering shifting alliances, discovered advantages, the immunity challenge, and a shocking blindside at tribal council.
On Lavo, Rome starts the morning with high spirits, telling his tribemates morale is “through the roof.” He had discovered a box containing the Beware Advantage but couldn’t read the note in the dark, so he mentioned it to Teeny to build trust. Initially, Rome had been Teeny’s target, but his discovery changes her calculations and makes her feel compelled to work with him. Teeny still shares the find with her close ally Kishan, showing him the box. When they read the note together, Rome unexpectedly returns and joins them, forcing Teeny into a quick bit of damage control. In confessional, Rome admits his trust in Teeny has waned. After reading the note, Rome opts to claim the hidden immunity idol that is valid for a single tribal council rather than pursuing an idol that would protect him for three councils.
On Tuku, TK declares Kyle his top ally and originally hoped to form a strong trio with Gabe, but he has begun to doubt Gabe’s consistency and intentions. Describing Gabe as erratic, TK shifts his focus to building a bond with Tiyana. She voices concern about the tribe’s male-female divide and worries an all-male alliance could fracture the group. TK pitches a new trio of himself, Kyle, and Tiyana; Tiyana thinks it’s a solid plan and praises Kyle as genuine and dependable.
At Gata, Andy is attempting to recover socially after feeling on the outs. Although he feels somewhat more included, others still see him as an easy vote. Rachel notes he remains an option to be voted out, while Sam emphasizes the group is trying to make him feel welcome. Anika jokingly describes Andy as needing “words of affirmation” and likens his behavior to a “toxic clingy boyfriend.” Sam, wary of Andy finding an advantage, suggests keeping him close. While Sam steps away briefly, Andy searches for an advantage, discovers the Beware Advantage, but decides to put it back and return later.
Back on Lavo, Rome’s high-energy personality grates on some tribe members. Aysha points out his eagerness to take charge of every task, and Kishan calls him a showman. Rome attempts to make the tribe’s fire, but Kishan ends up doing it. Teeny labels Rome cocky and notes that without his idol he would be an obvious vote, but his possession of an advantage complicates any plan to target him.
On Gata, Sam later reveals to Anika that Andy went searching for an advantage, so the two of them begin a search of their own. Sam locates the Beware Advantage, which Anika sees as raising Sam’s threat level. Sam, uncomfortable with Anika knowing about the find, also tells Sierra and assumes Anika has already told Rachel, so Rachel learns as well. Everyone except Andy now knows the advantage is out in play. When Andy returns to retrieve what he discovered earlier, he finds the Beware Advantage gone and suspects one of the women took it. Sam feigns surprise, but in confessional admits he’s come to trust Andy more than he expected.
With the key he has for a hidden immunity idol, Sam and Sierra search and locate a locked box. Sierra says their partnership feels strong as they work together; Sam opens the box and claims the idol that protects for a single tribal council. Once he has it, Sam asks Sierra if he should use the idol to save Andy at the next tribal — concerned about becoming the lone man on the tribe. Sierra is lukewarm about keeping Andy but tells Sam she’ll support his choice.
The immunity challenge tests endurance and coordination. Tribes must transport a bag of rice to shore, push a bag through a wall out in the ocean, maneuver a key through a maze to unlock the rice, pull a ball from the rice sack, and then guide that ball through a winding snake track. The first two tribes to complete the course earn immunity plus a fishing kit as reward.
Gata takes an early lead and reaches the final ball track first. While Sam, Anika, and Sierra work the final stage, Rachel slyly slips some rice into her pocket. The other tribes catch up, and the race tightens. Tuku drops their ball and falls behind. Gata is the first to finish — Gata wins immunity! Tuku and Lavo battle for second; Tuku drops their ball again, while Lavo completes the course and secures safety — Lavo wins immunity! Tuku will go to tribal council tonight. Host Jeff Probst notices Rachel’s pocket of rice, and while amused he instructs her to empty her pockets. Tiyana keeps a positive demeanor despite the loss, but TK is furious, insisting everyone should be as upset as he is. Tiyana’s visible annoyance suggests growing tension in the Tuku camp.
Back at Tuku, Gabe notices Tiyana rolling her eyes at TK and thinks the numbers may exist to target TK. TK, still steamed over the loss, believes himself to be the tribal leader and expects others to share his intensity. He returns to camp and interrupts a conversation between Tiyana and Kyle, then later has a sit-down with the pair to clear the air. TK and Tiyana reconcile publicly; Tiyana admits in confessional she’s working to separate personal feelings from strategic play and recognizes TK’s value in challenges despite disliking him. TK continues to push voting Sue out tonight and is confident in his strategic approach.
Gabe, however, plots a blindside, hoping to flip the vote and send TK packing. He tries to recruit Tiyana, Sue, and Caroline to vote TK out instead of Sue. Caroline and Sue say they would accept a tie and even go to rocks if necessary, though they doubt Tiyana would risk that to save TK. Tiyana finds herself torn between loyalty to the trio and the desire to make the move that best serves her game.
At tribal council, conversations focus on pairings and social dynamics. Sue notes a budding bromance among the men, while Tiyana insists things aren’t fixed and alliances can shift. Kyle stresses his bonds across both sides, and TK criticizes Sue for not initiating strategic conversations. Gabe frames the distinction between social and strategic relationships and admits he’s been exploring for idols “like Indiana Jones.” When asked about hidden immunity idols, Gabe confirms his searches. As voting begins, tensions run high.
Just before the votes are read, Gabe plays his hidden immunity idol for himself. The votes are cast and revealed: Sue, TK, Sue, TK, TK, TK. With that tally, TK is the second person voted out of Survivor 47. The elimination leaves both TK and Kyle visibly blindsided by the outcome.
That concludes tonight’s episode of Survivor 47. The episode delivered shifting alliances, revealed advantages, and a dramatic blindside at tribal council — check back next week for another live recap.
