The Voice 26 Top 8: Poll Results and My Predictions

The Voice is set to reveal the Top 5 contestants heading into next week’s finale. The format remains the same as recent seasons: host Carson Daly will announce the four artists chosen by America, while the fifth finalist will be decided through the Instant Save. That means the remaining four singers will perform again and viewers will vote in real time for the final spot.

The live Semi-Final results air Tuesday, December 3 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. Below are the results of our reader polls, followed by an analysis and my predictions for which five artists will advance to the finale.

Reader Poll Results for The Voice 26 Top 8

Fans voted in our polls throughout the day. The rankings and percentages reflect who readers favored for performances, duet highlights, and who they believe should or will be eliminated. After each poll section I offer context on what the numbers could mean for the live results.

Favorite Top 8 Performance

Sofronio Vasquez - The Voice 26

Topping the favorite performance poll is Sofronio Vasquez from Team Michael Bublé. Sofronio closed the show with a powerful rendition that clearly resonated with voters and online viewers alike. Team Bublé’s other finalist, Shye, finished second, giving Team Bublé dominant support across this category. The full ranking:

  1. Sofronio Vasquez — Team Bublé — “If I Can Dream” (Elvis Presley) — 39.24%
  2. Shye — Team Bublé — “The Story” (Brandi Carlile) — 21.52%
  3. Sydney Sterlace — Team Gwen — “when the party’s over” (Billie Eilish) — 12.78%
  4. Jeremy Beloate — Team Snoop — “I (Who Have Nothing)” (Tom Jones) — 10.31%
  5. Danny Joseph — Team Reba — “I Was Wrong” (Chris Stapleton) — 8.30%
  6. Christina Eagle — Team Snoop — “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” (Shania Twain) — 3.36%
  7. Jan Dan — Team Gwen — “Open Arms” (Journey) — 2.69%
  8. Adam Bohanan — Team Reba — “What’s Going On” (Marvin Gaye) — 1.79%

Interpretation: The clear frontrunner in this category is Sofronio, with Shye also enjoying strong momentum. High performance votes often correlate with stronger viewer support during results night, but the Instant Save can still shift outcomes.

Favorite Top 8 Sting Duet

The duet round brought memorable pairings. Voters overwhelmingly favored the tender duet performed by Team Bublé’s Shye and Team Gwen’s Sydney Sterlace, which captured nearly half of the votes in this category:

  1. Shye & Sydney Sterlace — “Fields of Gold” — 47.41%
  2. Jeremy Beloate & Sofronio Vasquez — “Every Breath You Take” — 38.15%
  3. Adam Bohanan & Jan Dan — “Roxanne” — 7.41%
  4. Christina Eagle & Danny Joseph — “If You Love Somebody Set Them Free” — 7.04%

Interpretation: The emotional chemistry and subtle arrangement of “Fields of Gold” clearly appealed to voters, further boosting both Shye’s and Sydney’s profiles heading into results night.

Which Three Contestants SHOULD Go Home

When asked which three contestants readers think should be eliminated, voters pointed to a small group as the likeliest departures. These results often reflect a combination of perceived readiness, song choice, and overall connection with the audience:

  1. Jan Dan — Team Gwen — 24.96%
  2. Christina Eagle — Team Snoop — 24.62%
  3. Adam Bohanan — Team Reba — 19.02%
  4. Jeremy Beloate — Team Snoop — 9.51%
  5. Danny Joseph — Team Reba — 9.00%
  6. Sydney Sterlace — Team Gwen — 7.81%
  7. Shye — Team Bublé — 2.89%
  8. Sofronio Vasquez — Team Bublé — 2.21%

Interpretation: Jan Dan, Christina Eagle, and Adam Bohanan drew the most votes as those readers felt should exit. Fan sentiment like this can be a useful indicator, though live voting patterns sometimes differ.

Which Three Contestants WILL Go Home

When asked who will actually be sent home, readers mirrored their “should” selections. Based on poll responses and last night’s performances, the same trio emerged as the likely departures.

  1. Jan Dan — Team Gwen — 25.50%
  2. Christina Eagle — Team Snoop — 22.13%
  3. Adam Bohanan — Team Reba — 21.13%
  4. Danny Joseph — Team Reba — 9.63%
  5. Jeremy Beloate — Team Snoop — 9.38%
  6. Sydney Sterlace — Team Gwen — 7.88%
  7. Shye — Team Bublé — 3.00%
  8. Sofronio Vasquez — Team Bublé — 1.38%

Interpretation: The poll suggests a clear separation between the top contenders and those deemed most likely to leave. Jan Dan and Adam Bohanan appear vulnerable despite solid musical moments, while Christina Eagle’s performance drew mixed reactions.

Favorite Team So Far

Readers voted overwhelmingly for Team Bublé as the favorite coaching team this season. The numbers indicate strong support for Michael Bublé’s artists, which could influence viewer voting behavior during the live results.

  1. Team Bublé — 71.06%
  2. Team Gwen — 10.21%
  3. Team Snoop — 9.36%
  4. Team Reba — 9.36%

Interpretation: Team Bublé’s dominance in fan opinion offers his contestants a momentum advantage heading into the finale push. That kind of coach-driven support can translate into increased viewer engagement and votes.

Predictions

Shye - The Voice 26
Pictured: Shye — (Photo by: Griffin Nagel/NBC)

Based on poll results, recent performances, and audience momentum, my prediction for tonight’s eliminations is that Jan Dan, Adam Bohanan, and Christina Eagle will be eliminated. Jan Dan could potentially save himself with a standout Instant Save performance, but he remains at risk. Christina’s rendition was serviceable but not memorable enough to build decisive viewer support, and Adam’s style may not be connecting broadly with the voting audience.

I expect the five contestants advancing to the finale to be:

  1. Sofronio Vasquez — Team Bublé
  2. Shye — Team Bublé
  3. Danny Joseph — Team Reba
  4. Sydney Sterlace — Team Gwen
  5. Jeremy Beloate — Team Snoop

Rationale: Sofronio and Shye have shown consistent vocal strength and emotional connection that resonate with viewers and online audiences. Danny Joseph and Jeremy Beloate both demonstrated solid technique and stage presence that should secure enough votes to advance. Sydney Sterlace surprised many with a strong comeback performance and appears likely to ride that momentum into the finale.

Final note: live voting and the Instant Save can produce surprises, so while polls offer a snapshot of current fan sentiment, results night can still yield unexpected outcomes. Tune in to the live results to see how audience votes ultimately shape the Top 5.
