The Voice Season 27: How the Live Shows Will Work — Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton, Chance the Rapper and More Set to Perform
The Voice season 27 concludes with the finale on Tuesday, May 20 at 9 PM ET/PT, following a clip show at 8 PM ET/PT. NBC’s press materials and an accompanying NBC Insider article outline how the competition will progress during the two weeks of live broadcasts. Over the course of the finale episodes, a number of former coaches, past winners and guest performers will take the stage.
The Voice 2025: Full Season 27 Schedule highlights the key live shows and performance reveals.
The press releases are a bit dense, so here’s a clear rundown of how contestants will be narrowed to a single winner across the live shows and finale:
- Monday, May 12 — Semi-final: The four “Super Saves” will be revealed. Each coach — John Legend, Michael Bublé, Kelsea Ballerini and Adam Levine — selected one artist from the three contestants eliminated in the Playoffs to return to the competition. After the Super Saves are announced, those four returning artists will join the eight contestants who advanced directly from the Playoffs to form the Top 12. All 12 performers will then appear on the live broadcast for America’s Vote for the first time.
- Tuesday, May 13 — Semi-final Results: The first live results show of the season will air from 9–10 PM ET/PT, when host Carson Daly will announce the Top 5 advancing in the competition.
- Monday, May 19 — Finale Part 1: The Top 5 perform for the public vote during the first night of the finale.
- Tuesday, May 20 — Finale Part 2: The season 27 winner will be revealed at the end of the two-night finale.
Correction: The Top 5 will be revealed on May 12, not May 19, as earlier reports indicated. There will be no public voting during the May 20 grand finale.
