NBC Announces 2025 Fall Premiere Dates, Including The Voice Season 28 Premiere and America’s Got Talent Season 20 Finale
NBC is launching its 2025–26 broadcast season the week of September 22. The network’s fall lineup opens with the season premiere of The Voice (season 28) and closes the week with the live finale of America’s Got Talent (season 20). These tentpole events kick off a busy schedule of premieres, sports windows and holiday specials that will shape NBC’s prime-time offerings this fall.
The Voice returns with an all-star coaching panel: Michael Bublé, Reba McEntire, Niall Horan and Snoop Dogg. The season begins on Monday, September 22 at 8 p.m. ET/PT with a two-hour premiere. The first week continues on Tuesday, September 23 with a one-hour episode at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
America’s Got Talent’s live competition rounds conclude that same week. The final performance episode is scheduled for Tuesday, September 23 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, followed by the season 20 finale on Wednesday, September 24 beginning at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Both The Voice and AGT will be available to stream the next day on Peacock for viewers who miss the live broadcasts.

NBA Basketball Will Affect The Voice Tuesday Nights
A notable scheduling factor: NBA regular-season broadcasts on NBC will impact The Voice’s Tuesday airings beginning October 21. NBA game windows are expected to occupy Tuesday night slots for much of the season, meaning some Voice episodes may be delayed or shifted to accommodate live basketball coverage. Viewers should check local listings and Peacock for updated air times during the NBA season.
In addition to her role on The Voice, coach Reba McEntire will return to scripted television: her half-hour comedy Happy’s Place begins its second season on Friday, November 7 with back-to-back episodes. That premiere will add a comedy anchor to NBC’s Friday night schedule.
NBC will also usher in the holiday season with a special presentation on November 6 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. A two-hour Wicked special will feature musical performances from Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, along with other surprise guests and segments tied to the popular stage musical. The special is positioned as a major holiday event on the network’s fall calendar.
Several series have been held for later placement on the schedule. Returning drama The Hunting Party and new comedies The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins and Stumble will be added to NBC’s 2025–26 lineup at a later date, once final scheduling decisions are made and production timelines are confirmed.
