Dancing with the Stars 2025: Season 34 Week 6 Wicked Night dance styles and song choices
Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars heads into Week 6 with an eventful themed evening: Wicked Night. Remaining cast members will take the Ballroom stage to perform routines inspired by the hit films Wicked and Wicked: For Good. The show brings a unique blend of theatrical storytelling and competitive dance, as couples interpret songs from the iconic soundtracks in a variety of classical and contemporary ballroom styles.
Wicked Night airs TUESDAY, OCT. 21 (8:00–10:00 p.m. EDT/PDT, 7:00–9:00 p.m. CDT). The episode will be simulcast live on ABC and Disney+ in local time zones and will be available the next day on Hulu. Produced in front of a live audience by BBC Studios, the episode also includes exclusive content tied to the upcoming film Wicked: For Good.
For this special night the judges’ panel welcomes guest judge Jon M. Chu, the director associated with last year’s Oscar®-winning Wicked and this season’s cinematic conclusion, Wicked: For Good. Chu joins regular judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough, bringing an added perspective on translating stage and screen storytelling into dance. The evening will also feature a never-before-seen clip from Universal Pictures’ Wicked: For Good, which opens in theaters Nov. 21, along with recorded messages from cast members including Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Jonathan Bailey and Michelle Yeoh.
The program’s musical centerpiece will be a medley that draws from both films: “No One Mourns the Wicked / Defying Gravity / For Good / Thank Goodness / Dancing Through Life / What Is This Feeling?” Couples will then perform routines that showcase a range of dance styles—Argentine Tango, Contemporary, Foxtrot, Jazz, Rumba and Quickstep—interpreting the songs through choreography that highlights character, emotion and technical skill.
How to vote
Audience participation remains a key part of the competition. Fans can vote during the live simulcast in the ET/CT time zones. While the show airs live, online voting is open to viewers in all U.S. time zones, U.S. territories and Canada via dwtsvote.abc.com. Participating U.S. wireless carriers also support voting via SMS/text (note: viewers in Canada cannot vote by SMS/text). Votes cast across Dedication Night and Wicked Night will be combined with judges’ scores from both episodes to determine overall standings and which couples may face elimination after two weeks of results.
