Survivor Season 48 Week 10 Recap

The episode opens with the castaways returning to camp after a dramatic tribal council. The group is buzzing about Mr. Beast’s twist and the jump in prize money to $2 million. Aubry notes that Rick has made himself an obvious target, and though she’s been flying under the radar, she’s ready to take bolder risks. Jonathan, meanwhile, is shaken: his plan to vote out Ozzy was overturned by the twist and he lost his ally Stephenie, leaving him and Joe feeling exposed and unsure about their paths to the end.

At camp the next morning, Rick examines the hidden immunity idol he acquired, which is valid until seven players remain. He’s visibly energized by the state of play, but Joe criticizes Rick’s behavior at tribal, calling it poor sportsmanship toward Stephenie. Cirie quickly calls out Joe’s hypocrisy, while Tiffany is willing to tolerate Joe for now since she sees larger targets ahead.

Cirie and Tiffany discuss strategy and the remaining idols in play, specifically Ozzy and Rizo’s advantages. Cirie remembers being eliminated from Game Changers because others had idols and perks; she’s determined not to repeat that mistake. Although she doesn’t want Ozzy or Rizo out personally, she’d prefer they be forced to use their idols. Cirie believes she can encourage Ozzy to play his idol even if it isn’t strictly necessary, and Ozzy later confirms he would consider doing so when she and Tiffany bring up his name as a potential target.

After an emotional moment when Ozzy and Rick discuss Ozzy’s father, Rick and Emily plot. Emily wants to flush out idols, and Rick says he’ll use his idol offensively. Rick suggests voting out Joe or Cirie; Emily, who is frustrated with Cirie’s influence, backs targeting Cirie as a move to shift control.

The immunity challenge is a balance test on a triangular water platform. Competitors must progressively move higher and finally remain on one foot; falling or touching the platform eliminates a player. The winner secures immunity and an advantage to use at tribal. Early on, Cirie is the first to be eliminated after touching the platform during a step up. Several players make it to the final stage, where contestants must balance on one foot. One by one, they begin to fall: Rizo, Ozzy, Joe, Emily and Jonathan all slip, leaving Tiffany as the apparent last person standing.

Producers review footage and find Tiffany failed to lift one foot in time while others had already done so, leading to her disqualification. With Tiffany removed, Jonathan—who had been among the last—wins immunity. Jeff then reveals the twist: castaways will be split into two groups and each subgroup will attend its own tribal council, voting someone out; as Jonathan’s advantage, he will attend and cast a vote at both tribunals.

A random draw divides the players: Tiffany, Emily, Cirie and Rick make up one group; Aubry, Rizo, Ozzy and Joe the other. Jonathan becomes the roaming vote between both groups. He first confers with Cirie about splitting votes to target Rick—who holds an idol—and names Emily as a backup. Emily, convinced she’s in danger, floats a ruse: she’ll pretend the target is herself to coax Rick into playing his idol publicly, then pivot the plan to eliminate Cirie with Rick’s help.

Emily and Rick later strategize privately to mislead others into thinking Rick will use his idol on Emily while he ultimately uses it on himself. Tiffany and Jonathan discuss the other group and agree Ozzy should go; Jonathan admits he’s long wanted to blindside Ozzy. Overconfident, Ozzy tells Aubry about his endgame hopes and even reveals Cirie’s extra vote advantage, intending it as jury management. Aubry is stunned by his candor and shares the revelation with Rizo and Joe, urging them to seize the moment and blindside Ozzy.

Cirie gives tentative approval to a plan that would see Ozzy voted out, but privately she doesn’t want him gone—she’s simply masking the closeness of their relationship. Jonathan confirms with Aubry that Ozzy is the target and learns the extra-vote intel as well. Cirie encourages Rizo to be informed, but when Rizo learns Ozzy is the target he decides not to warn him. Rizo feels Ozzy’s loose talk and growing danger to his own game justify letting the blindside proceed.

Emily continues to push the narrative that Rick will waste his idol on her to stir chaos at tribal. Cirie, unsure whose name Rick will protect, is prepared to play her extra vote if she senses danger. The first tribal council—featuring Cirie, Tiffany, Rick, Emily and Jonathan—opens with nervous reflections: Jonathan jokes about his many steps between groups, Emily admits she feels a familiar dread being at Day 21 again, and Tiffany and Cirie speak to the uncertainty of the night. Rick reveals he will play his idol for himself as a safety net.

After the initial vote reveals a tie between Cirie and Emily, a re-vote sends Emily to the jury. Rick’s idol play nullifies votes against him, but the five members ultimately choose Emily in a close second round; she becomes the sixteenth person eliminated and the sixth juror.

At the second tribal, the remaining subgroup gathers. Aubry and Ozzy exchange thoughts about loyalty and trust, with Ozzy explaining his desire to play a more social game this season. Aubry reflects on how she’s evolved from an anxious player into someone who embraces calculated risk. Ozzy opts not to play his idol, and when Jeff reads the votes, Ozzy is blindsided—four votes against him send him to the jury. He leaves in visible shock, lamenting how much he trusted his allies before Jeff extinguishes his torch.

This episode reshuffles alliances and exposes overconfidence, with Jonathan’s roaming vote and Rick’s idol play creating ripples across both groups. The blindside against Ozzy and Emily’s earlier exit mark significant shifts as the game heads toward the final stretch. Tune in next week for the next installment and another round of strategy, surprises and emotional departures.
