American Idol 2024 Spoilers: Showstopper Round contestants and song list
UPDATE March 31: At the close of the Hollywood Week episode on Sunday, host Ryan Seacrest referred to a Top 56, while the widely circulated spoiler list contains 57 names. IdolSpoilers stands by the list of 57, and the only singer without a confirmed song is nonetheless listed as part of the round. That discrepancy could mean a late change in the lineup, an extra contestant appearing on the broadcast, or that some spoilers were incorrect. Several contestants mentioned a Top 57 on their own social posts, which adds to the confusion. Singers I could not verify via social updates or Sunday’s episode are marked with asterisks in the list below.
For previews and photos of many of the contestants, see the American Idol Top 57 preview collection linked above in the original post.
This is a consolidated, cleaned and updated rundown of the reported Showstopper Round — the showcase that concludes Hollywood Week. The Showstopper taping reportedly took place on Sunday, December 11, in front of a live audience. The performance order and song choices that follow are credited to IdolSpoilers/TheIdolpad and have been organized here for clarity.
Notable returnees and past TV appearances: A few contestants on this roster have notable reality-TV histories. Alyssa Raghu appears to be returning for a third American Idol run after previously reaching the Top 24 on season 16 and the Top 8 on season 17. Hailey Mia, who previously placed fourth on Team Kelly Clarkson during The Voice season 21 (fall 2021), is listed among the Showstoppers. X Factor UK alum Scarlett Lee — who finished second on season 15 in 2018 — and former America’s Got Talent kid singer Quintavious Johnson (season 9) are also named. These repeat contestants bring pre-existing fan interest as they try again for a deeper Idol run.
Additional background: Further updates from contributors include details on Jayna Elise Brown, who is noted as an America’s Got Talent season 11 semi-finalist and a past Top 55 contestant on American Idol season 21. Michael Rice is listed with prior experience representing the United Kingdom at Eurovision 2019, advancing in X Factor UK and winning the first season of All Together Now. Ziggy Krassenberg is reported to have performed on Dutch versions of Idol and The Voice. These resumes highlight the varied experience level among contestants this season.
Below is the Showstopper Round contestant list with the reported song selections, now arranged in the listed performance order. Asterisks indicate singers or song choices that could not be independently verified.
