The Voice season 23 Finale: Voting is overnight, but it’s still only one vote per email!

The Voice season 23 heads into its live grand finale with overnight voting open to fans, but the one-vote-per-email rule that applied during last week’s real-time Instant Vote remains in effect. The overnight window begins when Monday’s finale broadcast ends at 10:00 pm EDT and closes the following morning at 9:00 am EDT on Tuesday (May 23). During that interval, viewers can cast a vote for their preferred finalist to determine the winner of this season.

This year’s final five artists are Gina Miles from Team Niall Horan, D. Smooth from Team Kelly Clarkson, the duo Sorelle from Team Chance the Rapper, and two acts from Team Blake Shelton: NOIVAS and Grace West. Fans who are at least sixteen (16) years old and located within the fifty (50) United States, the District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico are eligible to vote.

There are two supported voting methods: the official Voice phone app (available from the App Store or Google Play) and the online voting page at NBC.com/VoiceVote. Regardless of which voting method you choose, the current rule allows only one vote per email address for each method during the defined Voting Window. In practical terms, that means you may submit an app vote and an online vote if you use two different eligible email addresses for each method, but you cannot submit multiple votes with the same email for the same method in a single window.

Producers moved away from the previous allowance of multiple votes per contestant per method—such as the ten-votes-per-method system used in earlier rounds—toward the stricter one-vote format. The official reasoning behind this change has not been publicly explained, but at this late stage of the competition many fans focus their efforts on a single favorite contender. The one-vote-per-email rule aligns the overnight voting period more closely with the Instant Vote approach used during live eliminations, though the overnight window simply extends the time viewers have to register their single choice.

To ensure your vote counts, confirm that the email address you use is valid and that you follow the app or website prompts correctly. If you plan to vote from multiple devices, remember the limitation: the system tracks votes by email address and method for each Voting Window. Avoid duplicate submissions from the same email, as extra attempts will not be counted beyond the single allowed submission.

The Voice season 23 grand finale airs Tuesday at 9:00 pm ET/PT on NBC, when host Carson Daly will reveal the season’s winner. The champion will earn a recording contract with Universal and a cash prize. For long-time viewers, this finale carries added significance: it is Blake Shelton’s final season as a coach, and he has an opportunity to capture his tenth win before retiring his iconic red chair.

As always in a high-stakes finale, timing and attention to the official rules are crucial. Double-check the voting window on the night of the finale, use the official app or the NBC voting page to submit your choice, and keep the one-vote-per-email-per-method rule in mind. With the votes tallied overnight and the live announcement scheduled for Tuesday night, fans will soon learn which artist captured the public’s support and earned the title of The Voice season 23 champion.
