The Voice 27 Reveals Battle Advisors Coco Jones, Cynthia Erivo, Little Big Town and Kate Hudson

The Voice returns with a fresh twist for Season 27: the Battle Rounds will once again feature outside advisors to help coaches prepare their artists. While celebrity mentors have been a familiar part of many seasons, advisors have not appeared in the Battle Rounds since Season 22 in fall 2022. For this season the show is bringing back that extra layer of guidance with four notable advisors who will each work alongside a coach during rehearsals and preparations.

Each advisor brings a different musical perspective to the table. Coco Jones will join Team John Legend to help shape vocal performances and stage presence. Cynthia Erivo will sit in with Team Michael Bublé, offering insight from her extensive experience on stage and screen. Country group Little Big Town will team up with Kelsea Ballerini to refine harmonies and arrangement choices. Actress and performer Kate Hudson will assist Adam Levine’s team, lending her performance intuition and theatrical flair. The Battle Rounds begin on Monday, March 10, and fans can expect high-stakes pairings with this renewed advisory format.

Coco Jones began her career as a young performer and has since built a profile as both an actress and a singer. She appears on the Peacock series Bel-Air and first drew attention as a teen actor in the Disney Channel movie Let It Shine. As an advisor on Team John Legend, Jones will focus on contemporary pop and R&B sensibilities, helping contestants interpret material with modern vocal styling and emotional nuance.

Cynthia Erivo Joins Michael Bublé

Cynthia Erivo is an acclaimed performer who has made a name for herself on stage and screen. Known for her powerful voice and commanding presence, Erivo brings a theater-informed approach to phrasing, storytelling and vocal technique. Working with Michael Bublé’s team, she is expected to guide contestants on dramatic interpretation, control, and how to connect a song’s narrative to a live audience.

Little Big Town Joins Kelsea Ballerini

Little Big Town are a celebrated country vocal group renowned for their rich harmonies and collaborative arrangements. The quartet — Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook — have a long history of crafting tight vocal blends and showmanship. As advisors to Kelsea Ballerini’s team, Little Big Town will focus on harmony, vocal blending, and arrangement choices that highlight each artist’s strengths while creating compelling team performances.

Kate Hudson Joins Adam Levine

Kate Hudson is best known for her film career, including a breakthrough role in Almost Famous, but she also has experience with performance and musical projects. Her background gives her an understanding of how to shape a moment for camera and stage alike. On Adam Levine’s team she will help contestants with storytelling, audience connection and the theatrical elements that make a live performance memorable.

The return of Battle Advisors adds another dynamic layer to The Voice’s coaching process. Advisors typically sit in during rehearsals and offer targeted feedback on song choice, arrangement, staging and vocal technique. For coaches and contestants alike, this outside perspective can be invaluable during one of the show’s most competitive rounds. With a mix of pop, theatrical and country expertise among this season’s advisors, viewers can expect inventive collaborations, thoughtful coaching and standout performances when the Battle Rounds premiere on March 10.
