NBC has released its Fall 2011 primetime premiere schedule. Below is the network’s official announcement and the complete list of premiere dates and times (all times ET). Highlights include the fall debut of The Sing-Off on Monday, September 19 and the season finale of America’s Got Talent on Wednesday, September 14. NBC also notes that The Voice and the new Katharine McPhee drama Smash will arrive mid-season.
UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. — July 6, 2011 — NBC announced today the premieres for its Fall 2011 primetime lineup. The new schedule begins Tuesday, September 13 with a new episode of Parenthood following the final performance episode of America’s Got Talent, and continues the week of September 19 with Monday’s debuts of The Sing-Off and the new drama THE PLAYBOY CLUB.
The network will introduce several new comedies and dramas in September. On Wednesday, September 14, the season finale of AMERICA’S GOT TALENT airs from 8-10 p.m. ET, followed by two new comedies debuting in special late time slots: UP ALL NIGHT (10:00–10:30 p.m. ET) and FREE AGENTS (10:30–11:00 p.m. ET). Both series will then make their regular-time debuts on Wednesday, September 21 with their second original episodes in the 8:00–8:30 p.m. and 8:30–9:00 p.m. ET windows, respectively.
Other anticipated new series joining the fall schedule include PRIME SUSPECT, WHITNEY and GRIMM. These series will run through October 21, when NBC unveils a refreshed Friday-night lineup that features GRIMM in the 9:00–10:00 p.m. ET hour. Sports programming anchors the start of the season as the regular-season schedule for Sunday Night Football begins with a special kickoff on Thursday, September 8 and resumes in its normal Sunday night timeslot beginning September 11 (8:00–11:30 p.m. ET). FOOTBALL NIGHT IN AMERICA returns during the regular season on Sunday, September 11 (7:00–8:00 p.m. ET).
