Survivor Season 45 Week 10 Recap: Live Blog and Results
Tonight’s episode of Survivor Season 45 brought shifting alliances, trust tests, and a major blindside at Tribal Council. Here’s a clear, scene-by-scene recap of the action and the vote results from Week 10.
Coming off last week’s blindsided departure of Kendra, tensions remain high. Jake has survived two consecutive votes and believes he’s finally gained allies, insisting he’s no longer a pawn. Drew, meanwhile, is focused on exposing Bruce’s hidden immunity idol; he’s frustrated by Bruce’s recent immunity wins and wants to end that streak.
The episode opens with an emotional conversation between Julie and Drew. Julie struggles with the moral cost of the game — she prides herself on loyalty in everyday life and finds it painful to betray allies like Kellie and Kendra. In confessionals, Julie insists she won’t turn on her Reba-aligned allies: Dee, Drew, or Austin. Elsewhere, Bruce, Emily, and Katurah discuss the Reba 4 and worry their opponents may be too solid. Emily, who has ties to both Drew and Austin, begins to question her long-term strategy.
Reward challenge
The reward challenge requires contestants to navigate an obstacle sequence and then guide a ball through a maze. The prize: a night at the sanctuary with a meal of turkey, mashed potatoes, and pie, plus letters from home. The race is tight as players reach the maze almost together; after multiple drops it comes down to Emily and Austin. Austin falters within inches, while Emily completes her run. Emily wins reward and chooses Julie, Katurah, and Dee to join her.
While enjoying the reward, Emily, Julie, Katurah, and Dee plot against Bruce. Katurah reveals that Bruce lied about giving his idol to Kellie, and the group considers splitting votes between Bruce and Katurah — with extra votes on Bruce in case he doesn’t play an idol. Back at camp, Bruce privately suggests voting out Dee, but Jake is skeptical and later tells Drew about Bruce supposedly giving his idol away. Jake doesn’t realize Bruce’s claim was a lie; Drew believes Jake and shares the news with Austin, thinking Bruce is vulnerable.
Letters from home
At the sanctuary, the reward winners read letters from home before returning to camp. Conversations afterward intensify: Drew repeats Jake’s claim that Bruce gave his idol away, while Emily, who knows Bruce lied, watches how the misinformation spreads. Jake learns Drew is open to voting him out, leaving Jake feeling betrayed and scrambling to find new votes. He discusses targeting Drew with Julie, but the shifting loyalties make reliable options scarce.
Immunity challenge
The immunity challenge puts players on a steep ramp over water where they must hold on to progressively harder grips. Emily falls first, followed by Julie, then Dee, Drew, and Jake as rounds progress. The final two are Austin and Bruce; Bruce drops and Austin wins immunity, securing his safety for the night.
Back to camp
Back at camp, Bruce plans to play his idol on himself, while the rest of the tribe prepares to target Jake. Julie is ready to retaliate after feeling betrayed by Jake’s earlier vote against her, but Katurah pushes for Julie as the target instead, arguing Julie is a strong social and strategic threat heading toward the Final Three. Emily begins orchestrating a plan to blindside Bruce by convincing him the numbers are in his favor so he won’t play an idol. Jake, emotionally drained, laments feeling isolated and manipulated as he sits alone on the beach.
Tribal council
At Tribal Council, the tone is tense. Emily notes the dynamic has shifted with someone new holding immunity. Jake confesses he feels like an outcast, repeatedly left out of plans and increasingly insecure in his game. Julie, known as “Mama J” around camp, admits voting people out is painful for her. Drew frames the upcoming vote as a logistical move. Several players expect an idol or advantage to surface; many suspect Bruce holds an idol and might play it.
Time for the vote
When the ballots are cast, Drew votes for Jake and Bruce votes for Julie. In a surprising decision, Bruce chooses not to play his hidden immunity idol. Jeff tallies the votes aloud.
The votes read:
Jake
Jake
Jake
Julie
Bruce
Bruce
Bruce
Bruce
Bruce is the eleventh person voted out and the fourth member of the jury.
That concludes this week’s episode of Survivor Season 45. The vote leaves the remaining players recalibrating alliances and strategies as the game moves closer to the end. Check back next week for another recap and more Tribal Council drama.
