A new episode of Survivor 46 aired tonight on CBS. Here’s a live recap of the episode’s key moments, alliances, challenges, and the two votes that reshaped the game.

The episode opens with the tribe returning to camp after a tense tribal council. Everyone except one person voted for Moriah; Venus received a lone vote, and she immediately suspects Soda. The two have been at odds since day one, and Venus is skeptical of Soda’s denial. Tevin notes that the tension between Soda and Venus makes them targets, while Charlie later admits in private that he cast the vote for Venus. That confession irritates Q, who pulls Charlie aside to explain why revealing a vote was a strategic mistake. Charlie tells Q he understands but isn’t truly contrite. In a confessional, Charlie says he believes Q is running the game and that Q’s leadership is starting to feel like a dictatorship. Charlie reveals he’d like to see Q out of the game.

Meanwhile, Ben experiences a panic attack during the night. The tribe tends to him, and Kenzie is especially supportive. Kenzie explains in confessional that, despite the competitive nature of the game, she still wants to care for the people in her tribe.

The immunity challenge is an endurance test on a triangular perch in the ocean. There’s a twist: the castaways are split randomly into two groups of six. The last person standing in each group wins immunity, there will be two separate tribal councils, and two players will be voted out tonight. The first player voted out will not join the jury. Also at stake is a food reward—coffee and sandwiches—which the winning group will enjoy.

The Purple group consists of Charlie, Liz, Maria, Soda, Tevin, and Venus. The Orange group includes Ben, Hunter, Kenzie, Q, Tiffany, and Tim. Early on the water is calm and contestants pass the time with an alphabet game. As the challenge progresses and the level of difficulty increases, Q and Soda fall first, followed quickly by Ben. Later, when the final stage requires standing on one foot, Charlie falls, then Tim, Venus, Liz, and Hunter. Tiffany drops next, and Kenzie wins immunity for the Orange group. Kenzie eventually falls as well, leaving Tevin and Maria as the last two in the Purple group; Tevin slips and Maria secures immunity for her group. The Purple group also wins the food reward and will attend the second tribal council, moving them closer to jury placement.

Back at camp, the Purple winners celebrate with sandwiches and coffee. Venus thinks Charlie is the obvious target, but Tevin—aligned with Maria in what they call the Journey 6—wants to orchestrate a blindside instead of taking the straightforward option. On the Orange side, Kenzie is relieved to have immunity after a rough start on Yanu, while Q admits in confessional that he deliberately threw parts of the challenge to test loyalty within his alliance.

Conversations swirl around potential targets. Q discusses voting strategies with Tim, who favors getting Hunter out as a challenge threat. Q prefers to keep his commitment to Journey 6 and target Ben. Q begins to view Tim as someone keeping his options open, and he later decides Tim should be voted out. Elsewhere, Soda doesn’t want Charlie gone; she’d prefer to bring him into her camp and instead target Venus. She reassures Charlie he’s safe and proposes they present Charlie as the intended vote to make Venus comfortable.

Tevin, however, has lost trust in Soda and shares a separate plan with Liz to blindside her. Liz is amenable to voting Soda out, arguing that Soda is playing under the radar and that being “Nami strong” is not her priority. Tevin tells Maria and Charlie about this plan, setting up a cross-tribe split in intentions. Venus, sensing isolation, tries to flip the script by proposing to vote out Tevin to fracture the Tevin–Soda pair, but Maria is noncommittal and bristles at being pressured.

Charlie and Maria realize they hold the swing votes. They see Venus as chaotic and untrustworthy, but they also view Soda as a social threat. The knowledge that they can control the outcome makes them consider their options carefully. On the Orange side, shifting plans and Q’s habit of changing his mind frustrate Kenzie and Tiffany. Kenzie and Ben have formed a friendship, complicating any plan to target Ben directly. Q, sensing Ben’s comfort, attempts to orchestrate a blindside against him, further straining loyalties.

At the first tribal council, emotions run high as players weigh personal bonds against strategic necessity. Hunter makes the case that the Yanu three have power, while Kenzie points to the difficulty of choosing between people she’s bonded with. Ben speaks openly about his panic attack and the support he received. Jeff asks whether votes could go another direction, and the group reflects on tribal and individual dynamics. Hunter ultimately does not play a hidden immunity idol.

The first round of votes breaks down as follows: two votes for Hunter and four votes for Tim. With the majority, Tim is the seventh person voted out of Survivor 46. Tim is visibly disappointed as he accepts the outcome; Hunter looks relieved. Ben offers Tim a hug before his torch is snuffed.

The second tribal council convenes with members of the Purple group unaware of who was just eliminated. The conversation centers on relationships and leverage: Liz notes that good social ties are valuable regardless of tribe divisions, Charlie feels exposed as a target given the four former Nami members present, and Tevin worries that tribal loyalty will keep players from making big moves. Maria, despite having immunity, says she’s been left out of game discussions and doesn’t feel empowered to make a unilateral move. Charlie pulls out a Shot in the Dark but hopes it won’t be necessary; Venus prays it won’t save him.

When the votes are read in the second council, the tally shows four votes against Soda and two against Venus. Soda is the eighth person voted out and the first member of the jury. She is visibly blindsided, and as she departs she accuses Venus of engineering the move—an accusation Venus confirms. Soda breaks down emotionally before her torch is extinguished.

That concludes tonight’s episode of Survivor. Two players were sent home, alliances shifted, and the remaining castaways are left to recalibrate as the game moves forward. Check back next week for another recap of the action.
