Survivor Season 46 Week 8 Recap and Live Blog

Tonight’s new episode of Survivor on CBS delivered strategy, shifting alliances, and a surprise blindside. Below is a live-style recap of Day 13 as the castaways return to camp, compete in an endurance immunity challenge, and head to Tribal Council with votes that reshape the game.

After the first Tribal Council, the original group of castaways returns to camp and processes the loss. Ben reflects emotionally on his friendship with Tim, who kept him steady in the game. Meanwhile Q is anxious to discuss strategy before the second arrival interrupts camp life. The second group returns and reacts to the recent vote — Venus claims credit for orchestrating Soda’s elimination, while Tevin quietly knows he secured the numbers. Liz, who has long wanted Soda gone, also says she deserves recognition.

Charlie is thinking about where he fits strategically. He wants to remain close to Q, who is actively recruiting allies. We see Charlie being brought into Q’s “Journey 6” alliance — alongside Maria, Hunter, and Tevin — effectively filling the gap left by Tim. Although Charlie recognizes the short-term safety the alliance provides, he worries about being tied to players he may not be able to beat at the end.

Hide and seek

Q proposes a casual game of hide-and-seek as a way to read the tribe. While presented as fun, Q is using it to observe behavioral traits. The game ends with Tim and Hunter undetected: Tim concealed behind foliage and Hunter perched in a tree. Q later admits in confessional that Ben and Hunter made themselves too obvious by trying to win, putting them on his radar.

Venus continues to take credit for the Soda blindside, explaining the plan to Tevin, who stifles laughter because he was the real architect behind the numbers. Liz is annoyed by Tevin’s posture as a presumed strategist and tells confessional that Tevin should be targeted next. Tevin’s casual retelling of events to Liz rubs some players the wrong way, strengthening the perception that he’s becoming game-stationed.

Tiffany and Tevin talk as well. Tiffany labels Venus a nuisance rather than an immediate threat and suggests keeping her around for now, with a vote to follow the immunity challenge. Q hears this and worries that Tiffany could undermine his plans. He begins to question her loyalty and signals to Maria that he prefers a no-wavering approach — if someone in his circle hesitates, he wants them out.

Immunity challenge

Before the immunity challenge, Jeff offers a bag of rice as an incentive, with a twist tied to vote negotiation. The castaways must decide whether to give up votes in exchange for the rice; no one wants to sacrifice votes, and Q and Liz briefly volunteer to sit out but, because the required number of sit-outs isn’t reached, the rice isn’t awarded. Despite the negotiation drama, the endurance challenge proceeds.

The challenge is a test of stamina: contestants grip a pole and the last person standing wins individual immunity. Q and Liz are early to fall, followed by Kenzie and Ben. Maria exits next, then Tiffany and Tevin. After about fifteen minutes, only Charlie, Hunter, and Venus remain. Venus shows strength but eventually falls, then Charlie drops. Hunter outlasts everyone and secures immunity.

A plan to vote out Tevin

Back at camp, Q is angry about the missed rice opportunity and believes the tribe misplayed by not recognizing Hunter as the obvious favorite to win. Plans begin to shift: Hunter, Tevin, and Q initially conspire to blindside Tiffany that night. But Liz presses a different plan — she tells Ben, Maria, and Charlie she wants Tevin gone. Liz courts Venus, who agrees, and convinces Kenzie and Tiffany to support voting Tevin out. A key motive: Tevin holds an extra vote, making him a threat.

Tiffany eventually learns of the Tevin plan and agrees to it. She later tells Q, who is skeptical until Liz confirms the plot. Q shares the news with Hunter, predicting Tevin’s exit, though Hunter remains unconvinced. As lines form and loyalties are tested, Tevin’s extra vote and his recent behavior make him a primary target for several players looking to seize control.

Tribal council

At Tribal Council, conversation opens with the rice negotiation. Q admits to an emotional response over losing the rice and oddly asks the tribe to vote for him, claiming responsibility for the misstep and offering to take the fall. The request confuses everyone and fuels whispers. Tevin pushes back, calling Q unhinged, while others scramble to decide how to proceed.

Tensions rise when Charlie reveals that Q told him and Maria about Tiffany’s hidden immunity idol — a disclosure that alarms Tiffany and Kenzie. With trust fraying and different players lobbying for Tiffany, Tevin, or Venus at various moments, the group leans into private conversations to finalize votes. Liz remains committed to voting Tevin out, while Tevin suggests Venus as an alternative.

Who will be voted out?

The poll closes and the votes are read. No one plays a hidden immunity idol. The votes land as follows: Venus — one vote; Tevin — multiple votes; the final tally results in Tevin receiving the majority.

Tevin is the ninth person voted out and becomes the second member of the jury. He is blindsided by the vote but accepts his elimination with composure.

That concludes tonight’s Survivor Season 46 episode: alliance lines continue to shift, hidden advantages and second votes complicate the math, and Hunter’s immunity forces the tribe to make a bold move. Check back next week for another full recap as the game heats up and more players jockey for control on the path to the final tribal council.
