Survivor 47 Week 11 Recap and Live Blog
A new episode of Survivor aired tonight on CBS. Below is a live recap of Week 11, covering the fallout at camp, the Journey advantage, the immunity challenge and the Tribal Council that sent a key player to the jury.
The episode opens with the tribe returning to camp after the blindside of Gabe. Kyle calls Gabe a friend but admits Gabe had become a major threat; he believes he must win every immunity challenge to survive. Sue describes Tribal Council as painful and reveals she feels betrayed—everyone had known the plan except Gabe and Sue. Distrust even reaches Caroline, and Sue expresses frustration that Kyle remains in the game.
The next morning Sue confesses she no longer feels secure and worries she’s alone. Caroline acknowledges she may have erred in blindsiding Sue, and the two have a candid conversation about their relationship and strategy. Caroline explains that Gabe planned to take her to the Final 3, but she chose to pursue her own path. Sue and Caroline decide they want to seize control of the game together.
Later the pair approaches Andy, Rachel and Teeny at the well and they form a five-person agreement. Calling themselves the “underdogs,” the five agree to tighten their bonds and aim for a Final 5 arrangement. Meanwhile, Kyle, Genevieve and Sam meet separately and worry about being picked off by the other five. Kyle says he wants to reach the end with Sam and Genevieve. Genevieve avoids labeling their discussions as a formal alliance but is open to voting in concert. In confessional interviews, Genevieve says her outlook shifted after she helped blindside Kishan and that she’d rather be perceived as a distant villain than as someone who destroys friends’ hopes. Sam notes he’s had to pivot his strategy since Sierra’s exit, and Kyle admits he must suppress emotions to play effectively.
A boat arrives with a single-occupant Journey. Players draw rocks to determine who will go; Rachel draws the purple rock and departs for a timed ocean barge puzzle. She must arrange colored balls before weighted ropes drop into the sea. Rachel completes the puzzle just before time expires and returns to camp with a Block-a-Vote advantage. She initially lies to the group about being able to vote at Tribal Council, but later confides the truth to Caroline and Sue while keeping the advantage secret from Sam, Genevieve and Kyle. Rachel also tells Teeny and Andy about the advantage and feels closer to them strategically.
Genevieve asks Rachel who she would target if Kyle doesn’t win immunity—suggesting easier endgame companions like Sue or Andy. Rachel hints at openness but later confesses that the conversation makes Genevieve look more dangerous. She relays Genevieve’s comments to Andy, who reacts angrily and says he wants Genevieve out at the next Tribal Council.
The immunity challenge requires players to balance a wobbly table with a rope while stacking letter tiles to spell IMMUNITY. A fall forces a restart. Sam, Genevieve and Rachel take early leads but drops reset the field several times. Kyle and Teeny surge briefly, then falter. After a tense back-and-forth, Rachel regains composure and places her final tile just before Kyle can complete his. Rachel secures immunity.
Back at camp, conversations turn to vote targets. Rachel admits Kyle is the natural vote but wonders whether tonight presents an opportunity for a bolder move. Sue reveals she has been waiting for the chance to vote Kyle out and finds the idea deeply satisfying. Genevieve worries the target will shift to her and acknowledges she lacks the power to control the outcome. Sam says he prefers Kyle to remain because he fears being viewed as the next physical threat if Kyle goes. Genevieve and Sam lobby to save Kyle, but Teeny resists.
Andy also pushes to keep Kyle and instead target Genevieve, arguing that Genevieve has put names in danger and may be a greater long-term threat. Caroline disagrees and wants to stick with the plan to vote Kyle out before he can win more immunities. Rachel sides with Andy, while Teeny recognizes Rachel and Andy are more concerned about Genevieve than Kyle. The camp fractures into competing visions heading into Tribal Council.
At Tribal Council host Jeff Probst asks how voting strategy shifts this late in the game. Players offer their perspectives: Sam frames the vote as eliminating threats to individual endgames; Rachel says power players are being systematically removed; Kyle acknowledges he’s on the hot seat as a challenge threat and urges people to consider other targets and make daring plays; Teeny emphasizes both physical and strategic threats matter; Genevieve worries about being isolated and about separating her personal identity from her in-game persona. With speeches concluded, the group casts votes.
Jeff reads the ballots one by one: the first vote goes to Genevieve, followed by a vote for Kyle, then Teeny, and then several votes for Kyle. When the tally is revealed, Kyle receives the majority. Kyle is voted out—he is the eleventh contestant eliminated and the fourth member of the jury. He hugs his tribemates, thanks them, and has his torch snuffed.
That concludes Week 11 of Survivor. Rachel leaves Tribal Council with immunity intact and the Block-a-Vote still in play, while camp dynamics shift as players reassess alliances heading into the late game. Check back next week for another live recap and a breakdown of the evolving strategy as the season moves closer to the finale.
