As in last season, each judge has a Golden Buzzer pick that sends an act straight to the finale. Meanwhile, the viewing public will decide which three acts from the night advance to the semi-final round through audience voting.
Howie Mandel used his Golden Buzzer this week on Hundred Fingers, a highly choreographed group of magicians who performed stylized illusions that delighted both the judges and the studio audience. With that Golden Buzzer, Hundred Fingers is secured a spot in the final and will not face the elimination vote this week.
Other standout performances included strong nights from Brook Lynn and the visually striking Royal Lasers. The show also featured the group shown in the image above, the Jesse White Tumbling Team, who were part of the evening’s lineup. While several acts brought impressive technical skill, some viewers felt that a number of performances resembled past contestants and familiar routines rather than offering wholly fresh moments.
