Grammy Awards 2014 — Pre-Telecast Highlights and Winners

More than 80 Grammy Awards were distributed during the 2014 ceremony. Seventy of those awards were presented during the Grammy Pre-Telecast at the Nokia Theatre. Below is a polished, reader-friendly list of nominees and winners, plus highlights from the pre-telecast performances and presentations.

Pre-Telecast Highlights

The Grammy Pre-Telecast showcased many of the genre categories and featured performances from artists representing blues, roots, jazz, Latin and contemporary Christian music. Performers included Ben Harper & Charlie Musselwhite, Hiatus Kaiyote, La Santa Cecilia, Roomful of Teeth and the Summer Horns ensemble. Presenters on the pre-telecast included Roberto Fonseca, Jimmy Jam and Diane Warren.

Mandisa’s album Overcomer won Best Contemporary Christian Music Album, and the song “Overcomer” received the Best Contemporary Christian Music Song award for its songwriters. Mandisa was not in attendance for the award presentation.

The main broadcast on CBS later presented the remaining categories and many of the ceremony’s marquee awards.
