The Voice Season 14 Battle Round 4: Who Sings What?

The Battle Rounds of The Voice Season 14 conclude Tuesday night, March 27, with a full lineup of head-to-head vocal showdowns beginning at 8:00 PM ET on NBC. During the Battle Rounds, two contestants from the same team perform a duet or paired arrangement of the same song. After each pairing, the coach selects a single winner who advances to the Knockouts. Contestants who lose their battle are not immediately eliminated: each coach has two “steals” to add losing artists from other teams to their own roster, giving those performers another chance to continue in the competition.

To prepare their artists for these critical matchups, each coach enlisted a celebrity mentor to help refine song choices, harmonies, and stage presence. Team Adam Levine worked with pop songwriter Julia Michaels; Team Blake Shelton partnered with country star Trace Adkins; Team Alicia Keys received guidance from Shawn Mendes; and Team Kelly Clarkson welcomed help from multi-hyphenate performer Hailee Steinfeld. These mentors provided vocal coaching, arrangement suggestions and performance tips designed to help each pair stand out during their Battle Round performances.

Below is the scheduled Battle Round lineup for the episode. Each pairing indicates the team, the song they will perform and the outcome that will determine who moves on to the Knockouts and who may be available for a steal by another coach.

Battle Round Matchups — Season 14 (March 27)

Angel Bonilla vs Gary Edwards – Team Adam Levine – “When You Believe” (originally performed by Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston). This powerful ballad gives both vocalists the chance to showcase range and emotional delivery as they compete for Coach Adam’s vote.

Alex Cappelli vs Hannah Goebel – Team Kelly Clarkson – “Pray” (Kesha). Team Kelly’s pairing will tackle a heartfelt, contemporary pop song that emphasizes lyrical conviction and vocal control.

Austin Giorgio vs Brett Hunter – Team Blake Shelton – “Me and Mrs. Jones” (Billy Paul). This classic soul tune offers room for rich phrasing and chemistry, qualities Coach Blake and his mentor Trace Adkins will be listening for.

Dallas Caroline and Spensha Baker – Team Blake Shelton – “I Could Use a Love Song” (Maren Morris). In this pairing, both artists will interpret a modern country ballad, and Coach Blake will decide which interpretation advances.

Jackie Verna and Stephanie Skipper – Team Adam Levine – “These Dreams” (Heart). This rock-leaning ballad will test both contenders’ capacity for soaring choruses and emotional nuance in a competitive setting.

Livia Faith and Terrence Cunningham – Team Alicia Keys – “Stars” (Grace Potter and the Nocturnals). Team Alicia’s duel will focus on dynamics, tone and connection to the song as Shawn Mendes assists with coaching and arrangement choices.

Every Battle Round is a pivotal moment in the competition: coaches must weigh vocal ability, performance presence and long-term potential when deciding which artist to advance. The availability of steals adds another strategic layer, as coaches try to bolster their teams with talented performers who may have narrowly lost their battles. With two steals apiece, coaches have limited opportunities to reshape their rosters before the Knockouts.

The Battle Rounds often include montaged performances — shorter clips of some pairings — interspersed with full performances that receive extended airtime. While not every battle is given equal screen time, each head-to-head matchup contributes to the overall progression of the season and determines which artists will move forward to the Knockouts, where the competition intensifies further.

Tune in to NBC at 8:00 PM ET on Tuesday, March 27, to watch these Battle Round performances live and to see which contestants secure their spot in the next phase of The Voice Season 14. Expect vocal showmanship, strategic steals and guidance from the celebrity mentors as coaches finalize their teams for the Knockout rounds.
