American Idol Season 21 live show tickets are available now

On Camera Audiences is currently assigning seats for studio audiences for the upcoming American Idol Season 21 episodes, including shows leading up to the season finale on May 21. If you’re hoping to attend a live taping in Los Angeles, now is the time to request tickets and plan your visit.

This season features the special Aulani Hawaii Top 26 episodes, filmed on location and scheduled to air Sunday, April 16 and Monday, April 17. Those rounds mark the point where fans at home typically begin voting to determine which contestants advance. Note that not every listed date will be a live, on-air broadcast—some sessions are taped in advance—so be sure to confirm whether a particular taping is a live show or a rehearsal when you request tickets.

Ticket requests are handled through On Camera Audiences; their booking process assigns seating for studio audiences and provides information about arrival times and audience guidelines. When you request tickets, you will often be asked for a few details to confirm eligibility and to receive your seat assignment. Arrive early on taping days, bring a valid ID, and be prepared for security screening and a wait before the show begins.

This season’s episodes are being filmed at Red Studios in Hollywood. American Idol previously filmed for many years at the CBS studios in West Hollywood, but recent ownership changes and refurbishments required the production and several other shows to relocate. Red Studios is now hosting American Idol along with other television and entertainment productions.

Season 21 celebrates the long-running series’ continued presence in popular culture and returns with its trusted panel of judges and host. Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan serve as judges, while Ryan Seacrest returns as host. Together they guide contestants through auditions, live performances, and elimination rounds as the competition progresses toward a season champion.

Attending a taping offers a chance to see the contestants perform up close, witness judges’ feedback in real time, and experience the behind-the-scenes energy of a major television production. Studio audiences typically participate by cheering, reacting to performances, and following any production instructions given by audience coordinators. Keep in mind that cameras may capture portions of the audience during filming, so follow the guidance provided by staff and respect any photography or recording restrictions.

American Idol has a long legacy of discovering and launching musical careers. Over its run, the series introduced viewers to artists who went on to build national and international profiles, including Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, Katharine McPhee, Jordin Sparks, Adam Lambert, Chris Daughtry, Gabby Barrett, and Scotty McCreery, among others. The show’s format—combining audition rounds, mentor and judge feedback, and live voting—continues to shape how audiences engage with emerging talent.

If you plan to attend, check ticket availability through the audience provider as soon as possible, review any audience policies, and make travel arrangements early. Whether you’re a long-time fan or attending a taping for the first time, experiencing American Idol live provides a close-up view of the competition, the judges, and the contestants competing to become the next breakout star.
