Weekly Album Sales and Streaming Update
With 69% of reporting retailers and digital vendors in, country star Chris Stapleton currently tops both the sales and combined (sales plus streaming) charts. Stapleton’s From A Room: Volume 2 leads the sales rankings and holds the No. 1 position on the sales-plus-streaming list as well. Touring legends U2 follow in second place on both lists, while Taylor Swift, who had occupied the top spot for the previous three weeks, slips to third.
Holiday and seasonal releases are performing strongly this week. A cappella sensation Pentatonix has two albums among the top five in pure sales and within the top six on the combined chart: A Pentatonix Christmas and That’s Christmas to Me. Both titles also contribute to the Now Merry Christmas compilation, where Pentatonix appears among the featured acts. Violinist and crossover artist Lindsey Stirling is also posting solid sales, placing her Warmer in the Winter album inside the top 10 of the sales chart and registering on the combined chart as well.
New releases and notable appearances from TV talent show alumni are also visible in the rankings. The Voice alum Danielle Bradbery debuts this week with her new album I Don’t Believe We’ve Met, landing inside the top 15 of the sales chart and placing within the top 30 on the combined chart. Kelly Clarkson, who rose to fame on American Idol, continues to register on the sales chart with Meaning of Life. Pop artists Zayn Malik and Liam Payne both appear on the various-artists NOW 64 compilation, contributing to that album’s placement within the top 10 of pure sales and the top 20 overall. Lauren Jauregui is credited as a featured artist on Halsey’s Hopeless Fountain Kingdom, which also appears on the combined list.

Summary and context: As the holiday season influences buyer behavior, festive albums and compilations are gaining traction across physical and digital sales. Pentatonix’s multiple entries reflect strong demand for seasonal repertoire, while staples of the current pop and country landscape — from Chris Stapleton to Taylor Swift and U2 — continue to dominate the top-tier positions. New releases, TV-show alumni, and featured collaborations on compilation albums also shape the mid- and lower-tier placements on both the sales-only and combined charts.
These figures represent a partial reporting snapshot and may change as the remaining retail and streaming data are submitted. For now, the clear takeaway is that strong sales—especially for holiday-focused releases—and ongoing streaming activity are both key drivers of chart movement during this reporting window.
