Survivor Season 47 Week 6: Recap, Live Blog and Key Moments

Survivor 47 Live Recap: Rome Blindsided at Tribal Council

A new episode of Survivor 47 aired tonight on CBS. Here’s a live recap of the key moments: a shaken Gata camp, a hidden advantage discovered at the beach, an intense immunity challenge, and a surprising blindside that sends Rome home.

The episode opens with Gata returning to camp after tribal council. Anika was blindsided and eliminated, and Rachel learns she was excluded from the vote. Andy, delighted in his confessional, describes the satisfaction of a plan coming together and notes that Rachel is now on the bottom. Rachel accepts apologies from Sierra and listens as Sam insists he still wants to play with her. She tells Andy she thought he was the consensus vote, and in confessional admits feeling betrayed and exposed at the bottom of the tribe. Sam explains why he didn’t play his hidden immunity idol: the idol would have sheltered only at that tribal council, and he didn’t want to lose Andy’s trust. He hopes it will serve as a decoy later. Rachel says she needs new pathways in the game and hopes the merge arrives soon.

The next morning, a boat arrives at Gata with a message: the game is changing. Castaways are instructed to drop their buffs — a clear hint that a merge is imminent. Lavo and Tuku receive the same message. Excitement builds as everyone learns they’ll all live together on Tuku beach and compete in a major challenge. The beach instructions add a twist: there is an advantage hidden somewhere at camp, and the group is told to look for it before the challenge.

Searches begin across camp. Genevieve spots a buoy in the water, which others initially dismiss. In fact, the advantage is attached to that buoy, and Genevieve swims out and retrieves it. Back at camp, castaways notice red paint by the water well — the same paint that splattered when Sue found a hidden immunity idol in a prior episode. Caroline realizes Sue discovered an idol and promises to keep her secret, while Tiyana becomes suspicious after seeing Sue covered in paint. Sue admits she would vote out Tiyana if necessary to protect her secret.

Tensions rise when Rome starts spreading information about who has been talking about whom. A flashback shows Kyle sharing candid opinions — including labeling Sam as a big threat and describing Caroline and Sue as close. Rome uses Kyle’s comments to stir trouble, telling Sam, Sue, and Tiyana that Kyle has been naming them. Tiyana, shocked to hear this from a close ally, confides in Sol. Sol explains that Rome likes to create chaos and warns Kyle. Kyle, angered that his words were twisted, meets with Tiyana, Sol, Andy, Caroline, and Sue by the well to deny disloyalty and to name Rome as his top target.

For the immunity challenge, players are first divided into two teams of six. The winning team will then compete individually for immunity. Jeff reveals Genevieve’s advantage: she automatically advances to the individual round and will also enjoy a reward. The teams are picked in a schoolyard pick. The Yellow Team – Sierra, Rachel, Sam, Sue, Kyle, and Teeny – takes on the Blue Team – Rome, Caroline, Andy, Gabe, Tiyana, and Sol.

The team portion of the challenge features obstacle sections and a table maze where competitors must maneuver a ball into the center. Early on the Blue Team appears to gain ground, getting all members up the ramp first. But the Yellow Team recovers by using sandbags to climb the ramp and moves more successfully through the maze. In a tight finish, the Yellow Team lands their ball in the center first and wins reward, advancing to the individual round.

The immunity round is an endurance contest: competitors must balance on a narrow beam while keeping a ball steady on a wooden bow. One by one players are eliminated when they drop a ball or fall. Sierra, Sam, Rachel, Genevieve, and Teeny fall during the contest, narrowing the field to Kyle versus Sue. In the final moments Sue drops her ball and Kyle outlasts her. Kyle wins individual immunity.

At the reward feast, Yellow Team members and Genevieve discuss the looming vote. Rome emerges as the consensus target; Kyle is especially keen to send him home but cannot be targeted tonight because he has immunity. The group also discusses Andy as a potential backup vote. Back at camp, Caroline and Andy plan to use their amulet-style advantages for Teeny, and Sol, Andy, and Caroline agree to vote out Rome. Rome, meanwhile, boasts that he controls the game and claims to have orchestrated votes against Sol. Unaware that most of camp plans to vote for him, Rome changes his targets and hints at shifting toward Sol.

At tribal council, conversation ranges from trust and scrambling to the value of advantages and blindsides. Jeff probes whether advantages are actually a disadvantage and invites Rome to sit in his chair to discuss the pros and cons of the amulet — a lighthearted moment for the group. Players reflect on the merge as the place where the real game begins and on the desire to make a mark rather than being remembered only as a pre-merge player.

When it’s time to vote, several players cast ballots for Rome while a few scatter votes land elsewhere. Caroline, Teeny, and Andy play an amulet advantage on Teeny, nullifying any votes cast against her. The votes are read aloud: the tally includes early votes for Sam and Andy, but the decisive votes land on Rome. One by one Jeff reads a string of Rome votes, and finally it’s confirmed: Rome is the sixth person voted out of Survivor 47. He is blindsided but accepts his elimination with composure.

That concludes tonight’s episode of Survivor 47. The merge hints, hidden advantages, shifting alliances, and Rome’s blindside set the stage for the next phase of the season. Check back next week for another episode recap and more updates from the island.
