America’s Got Talent: Live Show Power Rankings and Predictions
Last night’s live episode of America’s Got Talent felt like a return to what makes the show entertaining: a real audience, full performances without heavy judge interruptions, and fewer production tricks. Overall the episode leaned toward safe and familiar, with only a few standout moments. Most acts were competent rather than extraordinary, and while nobody was truly terrible, only a couple delivered performances that felt destined for the finale.
Below is my power list ranking all 12 acts from least to most likely to advance after tonight’s results show. I focus on performance impact, audience appeal, and voting potential rather than who I personally enjoyed the most.
Power Rankings (12 to 1)
12 — Sethward
Sethward brought more theatricality than substance. His act screams viral promo—but not the kind that translates into strong votes. It felt chaotic rather than compelling, and I don’t expect him to get past this round.
11 — Gangstagrass
The idea of blending bluegrass and hip-hop is intriguing, and parts of their set showed skill. However, the styles didn’t integrate cleanly on this night, leaving the performance disjointed. The judges were clearly unimpressed, which will hurt their chances.
10 — Gina Brillon
Gina has a commanding stage presence and is comfortable in front of an audience, but the material didn’t land as strongly as it needed to for live voting. With at least one judge unimpressed, she’s in a vulnerable spot.
9 — Beyond Belief Dance Company
Technically solid but familiar. Their routine didn’t offer much that felt new or memorable compared to similar dance acts we’ve seen on this and other talent shows. They may rely on a niche fanbase or a judge’s praise to survive.
8 — Madilyn Bailey
Madilyn delivered a polished vocal performance and benefits from an existing YouTube audience. Still, there was something in the vocal tone that didn’t fully connect for me. Expect her to be competitive, possibly landing in the judge save conversation if votes fall short.
7 — Matt Johnson
Danger acts are always polarizing. Much of Matt’s performance was buildup, with the actual stunt compressed into the final moments. That said, the spectacle element often plays well to viewers and judges alike, making him a likely candidate to advance or be saved if necessary.
6 — Kabir Singh
Kabir has strong stage charisma, but this particular set didn’t reach the emotional punch of his audition. He had a few genuine laugh-worthy moments and solid delivery overall. I think he’ll scrape through but could find himself in the bottom tier of votes.
5 — Canine Stars
The variety of tricks and the difficulty level made this dog act enjoyable. A couple of small mistakes showed, but given the challenge of coordinating animals onstage, the performance was impressive. Family-friendly acts like this often garner solid viewer support.
4 — Dustin Tavella
Dustin performed a respectable magic routine that earned a strong reaction from the judges. The presentation could have been tighter, but bringing his family onto the stage was a smart move to secure emotional votes. He looks likely to advance into the next round.
3 — Peter Rosalita
Peter isn’t flawless, but his performance has viral potential and a distinctive charm that attracts attention. He’s already generating significant online views, which tends to translate into streaming-era votes. I view him as a solid contender for the final.
2 — 1aChord
This gospel ensemble showcased powerful vocal harmonies with impeccable control. Even without being a personal favorite of mine, the judges and audience reacted strongly. Acts that demonstrate vocal excellence with emotional impact usually move forward comfortably.
1 — Jimmie Herrod
Jimmie has one of the best voices of the season. Song choices so far haven’t always highlighted his range, yet his talent consistently rises above. He’s a top contender for the finale and likely to finish the season within the top ranks if he continues to choose material that showcases his strengths.
Final Thoughts
This episode felt like the moment the live season truly began to settle into its rhythm. A number of acts are banking on existing fanbases, emotional staging, or spectacle to carry them forward. The judges’ reactions will influence drama and buzz, but ultimately viewer votes will decide who moves on. Based on performance quality and audience appeal, my predictions rank the contestants from Sethward at the bottom to Jimmie Herrod as the most likely to advance deep into the competition.
