The Voice 26 Announces Sting and Jennifer Hudson as Knockout Mentors

The Voice season 26 moves from its Battle rounds into the Knockout phase, and producers have confirmed two high-profile guest mentors: music icon Sting and acclaimed vocalist and former coach Jennifer Hudson. The Battles conclude on Monday, November 4. After a scheduled break for election night programming, the series returns with the Knockout round beginning Monday, November 11. These episodes will bring fresh vocal matchups and expert guidance as each team prepares for the Playoffs and ultimately the Live Shows.

Three-Way Knockouts Return with a Save and a Steal

This season the show has revived the three-way Knockouts format, in which three teammates compete head-to-head. Each artist performs a self-selected song individually while the other two watch and await the coach’s decision. Coaches will select one winner from each trio to advance to the Playoffs, and each coach retains one save and one steal to use strategically during the round. In addition to the regular coaching panel, Sting and Jennifer Hudson will serve as celebrity mentors to offer song guidance, performance coaching, and industry insight to the contestants.

Jennifer Hudson will join the teams led by Michael Bublé and Reba McEntire, lending her experience as a performer and former coaching veteran on the show. Sting will mentor artists working with coaches Snoop Dogg and Gwen Stefani, bringing decades of songwriting and performance expertise to the process. Their presence adds an extra layer of mentorship at a critical juncture in the competition, as contestants fine-tune their material and stagecraft in hopes of securing a spot in the Playoffs.

Sting Brings a Legendary Career to The Voice

Sting arrives with a storied music career spanning several decades. He has earned numerous awards and honors, including recording industry accolades and recognition across film, television, and theater. He is a member of both the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame and has received major honors such as the Kennedy Center Honors. Over the course of his time with The Police and as a solo artist, he has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide. Sting’s background as a songwriter and performer will be invaluable to contestants focusing on phrasing, interpretation, and musical storytelling.

Jennifer Hudson: Award-Winning Performer and Former Coach

Jennifer Hudson brings an impressive list of achievements to her mentor role. A recipient of multiple major awards across music, film, television, and theater, she has been recognized as one of Time magazine’s “Most Influential People in the World” and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Hudson has performed at high-profile events such as the Super Bowl and has received honors from organizations including the NAACP. She first rose to public attention as a finalist on the third season of American Idol and later served as a coach on seasons 13 and 15 of The Voice.

Beyond her work on competition television, Hudson hosts the nationally syndicated The Jennifer Hudson Show, which has earned multiple Daytime Emmy nominations and other industry recognition. In October she released her first holiday album, The Gift of Love, further showcasing her versatility as a recording artist. As a mentor on The Voice, Hudson will draw on both her performance experience and her time behind the coaching desk to help contestants shape memorable, emotionally resonant performances.

The Knockouts will be an important test of artistic identity and competitive strategy: contestants must choose the right material, deliver a standout performance, and convince their coaches that they belong in the Playoffs. With the addition of Sting and Jennifer Hudson as guest mentors, The Voice 26 adds veteran perspective that could influence song choices, arrangements, and stage presence at a decisive stage of the competition.

The Voice season 26 Knockouts begin Monday, November 11 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT and continue Tuesday, November 12 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. Viewers can expect intense vocal showdowns, tactical uses of the save and steal, and mentorship from some of the music industry’s most respected figures as the series moves nearer to the Playoffs and the Live Shows.
