AGT 2026: Which three acts will advance to the semi-final? Vote for your favorite act
America’s Got Talent 2026 live shows continued on Tuesday night (Aug 25). This quarterfinal episode delivered emotional performances, memorable moments and one Golden Buzzer that sends an act straight to the finale.
As in recent seasons, each judge on the panel selects a Golden Buzzer act that bypasses the semifinals and advances directly to the finale. Meanwhile, America’s votes will determine the three acts that move forward from each quarterfinal night into the semifinal round.
On Night 3 of the Quarterfinals, guest judge Kenan Thompson — filling in while Simon Cowell is recovering from necessary back surgery — pressed his Golden Buzzer for 14-year-old singer Lai Noelle. The young vocalist, noted for a mature tone well beyond her years, impressed the audience and judges alike. Kenan’s pick means Lai Noelle will skip the semifinal and secure a spot in the finale.
Simon Cowell is missing several live shows while undergoing a surgical procedure related to injuries from an e-bike accident a few years ago. Hosts and producers explained the surgery could not be delayed, and guest judges will continue to sit in for the remaining live broadcasts until he returns.
Quarterfinal night three also featured a diverse slate of performers. Standout acts included singer-songwriter Pynk Beard, whose original work and stage presence drew attention; poet Guy Kelton Jones, who delivered a spoken-word piece that resonated with viewers; and acrobatic duo Holland & Sienna, whose precision and daring stunts highlighted the variety of talent on the AGT stage.
