Daughtry will premiere their new single, “Outta My Head,” during the March 15 episode of Fox’s American Idol. The song is the third single from the band’s third studio album, Break The Spell, following the earlier singles “Crawling Back To You” and “Renegade” (PRNewsWire).
The group also announced an extensive schedule for the Break The Spell 2012 Tour. The first leg begins March 20 in Buffalo, NY and runs through May 1 in New York, NY. Shortly after that, Daughtry will launch a second, more intimate theater leg of the tour beginning May 10 in Indianapolis, IN and concluding June 13 in Austin, TX.
Tickets for the second leg go on sale this Friday at 10:00 AM through official ticket outlets and the band’s website. For every ticket sold across all tour dates, Daughtry will donate $1 to Malaria No More, a humanitarian organization focused on ending preventable malaria deaths in Africa.
The tour will feature support from Nashville-based pop-rock band SafetySuit, whose album These Times debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200, along with singer-songwriter Mike Sanchez as additional opening support.
