The Kelly Clarkson Show wins Best Daytime Talk Series, Kelly snubbed in the host category
At the 51st Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards, the accolades in the daytime talk show field were split between familiar favorites. For the fourth consecutive year, The Kelly Clarkson Show earned the trophy for Best Daytime Talk Series, reinforcing its place among daytime television’s most recognized programs. Despite that series win, Kelly Clarkson did not capture the award in the show-host category this year.
The Emmy for Best Daytime Talk Series Host went to the morning team of Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa for Live with Kelly and Mark. Their win highlights the continued popularity and strong audience connection of the syndicated morning program. Kelly Clarkson, who has previously won the Best Host award four times, was among the nominees but did not take the prize this year, even as her program secured the series honor for a fourth time.
Clarkson thanked the Daytime Emmys and her production team in a message posted to Instagram: “Thank you @daytimeemmys and thank you to my entire team at the @kellyclarksonshow. I have the best team so thankful we won Best Daytime Talk Show!!” That public appreciation underscored the collaborative effort behind the show’s continued success.
Also nominated in the Best Daytime Talk Series category was The Jennifer Hudson Show. Jennifer Hudson’s series earned the nomination but Hudson herself did not receive a nod in the host category this year. She did attend the live ceremony to support her team and peers, appearing on the red carpet and at the event.

The main Daytime Emmy® Awards ceremony took place on Friday, June 7 at the Westin Bonaventure in Los Angeles. The show recognized achievements across the daytime television landscape, and included both established programs and newer offerings in the talk-show arena. Additional creative and technical categories—covering areas such as writing, production design, and technical achievement—are scheduled to be presented during the Daytime Creative Arts & Lifestyle Emmy® Awards on Saturday, June 8. Those presentations will be available via The Emmys apps and the Emmys’ official streaming platforms.
This year’s results reflect the competitive and varied nature of daytime programming. With long-running daytime staples competing alongside newer entrants, victories for series and hosts can come from strong audience engagement, consistent ratings, creative content, and effective producing teams. The Kelly Clarkson Show’s string of wins for Best Daytime Talk Series speaks to sustained popularity and continued investment in content quality, while the host win for Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa underlines the appeal of established broadcast chemistry and audience loyalty.
