Mac’s Top 15 Power Picks for Girls

We’re back with another set of contestants and another round of rankings. I’ve taken into account the rumored song choices for this week, since a poor or ill-fitting selection can dramatically alter a contestant’s fate. Below is my assessment of how I think each performer stacks up right now, from 15 to 1, followed by my predictions for who will advance and who might go home.

15) Aubrey Cleland – Aubrey appears to be in a difficult position. Opening the show can be a tough slot, and with limited screen time and a song that doesn’t seem to showcase her strengths, she risks fading into the background. This week’s field includes several strong R&B contenders, and Aubrey could get lost among them unless she finds a way to stand out vocally and visually.

14) Breanna Steer – Breanna’s song choice is intriguing, but the limited clips we’ve heard suggest she may struggle with pitch and vocal consistency. Lack of airtime and an early performance slot could compound those issues. If she can’t deliver a confident, on-key rendition, she’s likely to be one of the early eliminations.

13) Juliana Chahayed – Juliana impressed in earlier rounds, and I still see potential for her to return in a future season if this one doesn’t work out. That said, her rumored Vegas song doesn’t play to her lighter, more delicate strengths. A different, softer selection might have served her better this week.

12) Zoanette Johnson – Zoanette’s song choice feels risky and could lead to a performance that many viewers find underwhelming. Her best chance at staying is the advantage of closing the show, which can leave a lasting impression. Even so, with multiple strong acts this week, she may struggle to make the cut unless she surprises with a compelling finish.

11) Tenna Torres – Ranking Tenna outside the top 10 girls wasn’t easy, but based on recent performances she hasn’t demonstrated the vocal edge needed to secure a long run. There’s a perception among fans that other contestants—like Shubha or Isabelle—may have deserved another shot. Tenna will need a standout night to convince America she merits advancement.

10) Rachel Hale – Rachel’s song choice is interesting but potentially ill-suited to this competitive environment. Choosing a subdued, intimate number can backfire when viewers expect big, memorable moments. She’ll also be competing directly with Janelle for the country-leaning vote, which could make progression more difficult.

9) Melinda Ademi – Once considered a near-lock for the top five, Melinda’s current song pick gives me pause. Tackling material that another contestant struggled with recently makes her job tougher. If she leans on her previous strong performances and delivers an emotionally resonant, technically solid rendition, she can survive. Otherwise, she’s at risk of elimination.

8) Adriana Latonio – Adriana made a favorable impression last week and earned her spot in the top 10 girls. However, the overall talent level among the female contestants is very high this season, and moving into the top five will require her to elevate her performances. She has the potential but faces stiff competition.

7) Jett Hermano – Jett’s piano-backed performances tend to create memorable moments, and I expect her to deliver something that keeps her comfortably in the top 10. She’s shown the ability to connect emotionally and present tasteful arrangements, so I’m optimistic she’ll have a strong showing.

6) Cristabel Clack – Cristabel is a consistent and likable contestant who could just miss the top five if she doesn’t bring a standout night. With contestants like Amber gaining momentum, Cristabel will need to hit a home run to silence doubters and prove she deserves to move forward.

5) Amber Holcomb – Amber is on the rise and looks poised to slip into the top five. She’s building momentum and connecting with viewers, which matters a lot during live voting. Her only major obstacle may be the popularity and proven fan base of other strong performers in the same demographic.

4) Angela Miller – Angela has shown strength with original material, but her recent cover choices haven’t always allowed her to connect with the song in the same way. If she can find material that fits her style and bring the emotional authenticity she’s capable of, she’ll stay competitive. If not, judges and viewers may start to question her versatility.

3) Candice Glover – Candice remains a major contender but faces intense competition from other R&B-inclined singers this season. Once she becomes the final R&B contender standing, she stands to gain more traction, but for now those split votes among similar artists could limit her immediate advancement. She still has the vocal talent to make a deep run.

2) Janelle Arthur – Janelle has a classic underdog arc going: a sweet demeanor, solid voice, and steady improvement. She reminds me of contestants who build momentum week to week and win over viewers with growth and relatability. Her ability to keep improving will determine if she can contend for the title.

1) Kree Harrison – Kree is the most talked-about performer from last week, and she’s riding that positive buzz. If viewers voted today, she’d be the safest bet to advance. Her genuine presence, strong vocals, and likable personality make her a standout and someone other contestants and fans respect.

Predictions for this week:
IN: Janelle, Candice, Cristabel, and Jett.
FIFTH SPOT: Melinda or Zoanette — leaning toward Melinda.
OUT: Rachel, Juliana, Breanna, and Aubrey.
