When Does Masked Singer Season 3 Start?
FOX has released its midseason 2019–2020 schedule, and the network is positioning The Masked Singer as a centerpiece of that lineup. The Masked Singer, one of network television’s most talked-about entertainment programs, returns for its third season on Sunday, Feb. 2, airing 10:30–11:40 PM ET / 7:30–8:40 PM PT live to all time zones immediately following Super Bowl LIV. The series will then settle into its regular weekly slot with a time period premiere on Wednesday, Feb. 5, at 8:00–9:00 PM ET/PT.
Putting The Masked Singer directly after the Super Bowl is an unusual but powerful placement for an already-popular show. While broadcasters often premiere new series or highly promoted specials in that coveted post-game window, FOX’s choice highlights confidence in The Masked Singer’s ability to retain a massive live audience and build momentum for its midseason run.
New Series Highlight: Flirty Dancing
Alongside The Masked Singer, FOX is introducing Flirty Dancing, a hybrid dating-and-dance series hosted by entertainer Jenna Dewan. The show combines choreography and blind dates: strangers learn short dance routines separately, then meet for the first time to perform those dances together at striking locations. Each participant dances with two potential matches before choosing the person with whom they felt the strongest connection. FOX is previewing Flirty Dancing in late December with a special and launching the series officially in early January, signaling the network’s willingness to test new formats in the midseason window.
Flirty Dancing preview: Sunday, Dec. 29, 8:00–9:00 PM ET (live to all time zones), following the NFL on FOX doubleheader. Series premiere: Wednesday, Jan. 1, 8:00–9:00 PM ET/PT. Hosted by Jenna Dewan, the series emphasizes performance-driven chemistry and the idea of “love at first dance.”
