Following the release of Same Truck: The Deluxe Album, American Idol season 10 winner Scotty McCreery has announced the Damn Strait Tour, a North American run that includes more than 20 dates through the end of April 2023. Fan club presales begin Tuesday, Dec. 13 at 10 a.m. local time, with general on-sale starting Friday, Dec. 16 at 10 a.m. local time. For tickets and additional details, check Scotty McCreery’s official website or his verified social channels.

“I’m looking forward to hitting the road in 2023 with the Damn Strait Tour,” McCreery said. “I’ve enjoyed my time at home learning to be a dad to Avery, but I’ve missed being onstage with the band and performing for the fans. Can’t wait to see everyone in the new year!”

The tour takes its name from McCreery’s single “Damn Strait,” which became his fifth consecutive chart-topper and earned RIAA Gold certification. The song remained at No. 1 for three weeks and finished at No. 4 on the Billboard Year-End Country Airplay chart. Billboard also named it among the publication’s “10 Best Country Songs of 2022,” highlighting the single as one of the biggest chart successes of McCreery’s career.

McCreery’s current single, “It Matters To Her,” continues to climb and recently reached No. 32 on the Mediabase chart. He premiered the official music video earlier this season, offering viewers a behind-the-scenes look at him and his wife, Gabi, preparing for the arrival of their son Merrick Avery. McCreery noted that the video showcases how strong and steady Gabi was during her pregnancy and captures the couple’s excitement as they prepared to welcome their son. Both tracks are included on Same Truck: The Deluxe Album.

As a native of North Carolina, McCreery is also celebrating his first Christmas as a father. He recently appeared on CMA Country Christmas, which is streaming on Hulu and Disney+ and was scheduled to re-air on ABC on December 13. CMT featured a spirited rendition of Elvis Presley’s “Santa Claus Is Back in Town” from McCreery’s Campfire Sessions, and earlier in the month he was the featured performer for a sold-out Opry Country Christmas show in Nashville.

In addition to his touring and television appearances, McCreery is credited as an executive producer on the upcoming Hallmark Movies & Mysteries premiere Five More Minutes: Moments Like These, airing Dec. 17 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The film is inspired by his 2018 double-platinum No. 1 single “Five More Minutes.” This new motion picture is a standalone story—separate from last year’s film of the same inspiration—and stars Ashley Williams and Lucas Bryant. McCreery does not appear on screen, as filming took place during the final month of his wife Gabi’s pregnancy.

McCreery will close out another milestone year with four remaining performances in 2022, including three acoustic, co-headlining shows with Lee Brice. The dates span Arkansas, Alabama and North Carolina and include a charity-focused acoustic set in Raleigh.
