Survivor Season 47 Week 7 Recap: Live Blog and Highlights

A new episode of Survivor airs tonight on CBS — below is a live recap of the episode, covering the immunity challenge, shifting alliances, and tonight’s tribal council on Survivor 47.

The episode opens with the tribe returning to camp after voting out Rome. Andy and Sol have a private conversation where Sol admits he voted for Andy and shifts blame to Sam, claiming Sam suggested using Andy as a backup target in case Rome played an idol. Andy says he isn’t surprised and declares he’s awake to the game now. He wants an alliance with players who won’t use him as a sacrificial pawn, offers an alliance to Sol, and Sol accepts. Andy also tells Sol he plans to target his former Gata tribemates. Later, Andy and Genevieve confer and agree to be each other’s primary ally.

The next morning, Rachel feels confident about the remaining women, and Teeny expresses interest in forming an all-female alliance. Tiyana, Sierra, Rachel, and Teeny discuss targets for the upcoming vote; Tiyana names Gabe, revealing she doesn’t trust him despite both coming from the former Tuku tribe.

For the immunity challenge, players must stand on narrow beams and balance a ball on the end of a pole above their heads; falling or dropping the ball eliminates a player. After Jeff Probst explains the rules, players draw rocks to form two random teams. The last person standing overall grants immunity and a food reward for their entire team and sits out tribal council, while the last person standing on the losing team wins individual immunity and also skips the vote.

Teams: Yellow Team – Genevieve, Sierra, Teeny, Sol, Andy, and Sam. Blue Team – Rachel, Caroline, Sue, Tiyana, Gabe, and Kyle.

The endurance portion whittles players down quickly. Andy drops early, followed by Rachel. As the exercise continues, Sierra, Tiyana, Sol, Sue, Gabe, Caroline, Sam, and Kyle all fall or drop their balls in succession. The challenge ends with only Genevieve and Teeny remaining; the Yellow Team wins immunity, and Kyle, as the last person eliminated on the Blue Team, wins individual immunity. That means Rachel, Caroline, Sue, Tiyana, Gabe, and Kyle head to tribal council. Notably, Rachel is the only former Gata tribe member among them; the rest are former Tuku members. In confessional, Caroline says voting out Rachel would be easy but may not be the smartest strategic move.

At the reward, the Yellow Team enjoys food and speculates that Rachel could be in danger. Sam expresses interest in having the six of them vote together at tribal council to reduce Tuku’s numbers. There is also a mention of a hidden advantage at the reward that no one has spotted yet.

Back at the former Lavo camp, Rachel is anxious about tribal council. Gabe calls Rachel a threat in his confessional and expects her to play her Shot in the Dark advantage; he tells fellow players they should still vote for her and handle a revote if necessary.

Tiyana speaks with Kyle and proposes voting out Gabe, worried that the five former Tuku members will be picked off if the rest of the tribe stays united in targeting Rachel. Kyle agrees to consider the plan. Tiyana shares the idea with Rachel, who welcomes any plan that keeps her in the game and urges them to bring Caroline into the loop.

Meanwhile, at reward, Andy searches among the plates for any advantage but comes up empty. Sol, however, discovers a scroll hidden near a plant and discreetly tucks it away before reading it alone later. He learns the discovered advantage allows him to send an advantage to someone at tribal council; the recipient will choose between Block a Vote or Safety Without Power.

Caroline and Tiyana continue strategizing. Caroline worries that while Tuku members could be picked off, Kyle and Gabe might be targeted first, and she still views Rachel as a strong, well-connected player. Tiyana is disappointed she can’t get Gabe out but hears Caroline’s reasoning.

At tribal council, the Yellow Team watches from the jury benches while the Blue Team — Rachel, Caroline, Sue, Tiyana, Gabe, and Kyle — sit for questioning. Jeff notes the imbalance of five former Tuku members versus one former Gata member. Caroline admits Rachel’s position was discussed and weighed. Gabe says this would be a good night to make a move, while Rachel calls the moment a worst-case scenario and says she doesn’t know who is genuine. Kyle credits Rachel with exposing cracks in the tribe. Tiyana calls the vote crucial, since it determines who reaches the jury phase. Sue and others debate the merits of a bold move versus a smart move.

Before the vote, Rachel reveals she received an advantage and announces she will play the Safety Without Power advantage. That means she is safe from elimination tonight but cannot vote; she will leave tribal council and return to camp. The jury whispers, wondering who sent the advantage; Sol acts surprised and offers no hint. With Rachel removed from the voting roster, the dynamics at tribal shift sharply.

Left to decide among themselves, the remaining five discuss options. Tiyana becomes emotional, stressing that making it to the jury is everything to her. Private conversations break out: Tiyana and Kyle agree to vote Gabe if they can, while Gabe counsels Sue to vote Tiyana. Caroline appears torn as the group explores different paths. When the votes are read, the first is for Gabe, but the next three votes are for Tiyana. Tiyana is the seventh person voted out of Survivor 47. She leaves tribal council visibly upset and crying as she walks away.

That concludes tonight’s live recap of Survivor. Tune in next week for another episode and follow further coverage of the immunity challenges, tribal council drama, and strategic moves as the season progresses.
