The opening task was a Roadblock: one team member had to collect lotus bulbs and assemble them into neat bundles, securing them with lotus leaves. Successful completion earned teams their next clue. Jocelyn and Rob both selected the Roadblock early. Meanwhile Greg & John ran into problems when their taxi driver took them to the wrong place, costing them time and leaving them temporarily lost. Other teams steadily arrived and began the Roadblock — Ashlie and Lena each stepped up for their teams while Joel & Garrett, Steve & Anna Leigh, Joe & Ian, Andrea & Malaina, and Robbin & Chelsea trickled in behind them. Liam & Yeremi also struggled with navigation and fell behind the main pack.
Jocelyn had a tough time mastering the leaf-wrapping portion of the Roadblock and required multiple attempts before getting it right. After finally finishing, she and Victor departed first with the next clue. Rob completed the Roadblock shortly afterward. Greg listened for tips from the teams who had just left and used that feedback to avoid common mistakes, allowing him to finish the task ahead of Ashlie and Lena. Garrett and Steve took turns on the Roadblock as well, progressing the field further.
With the Roadblock complete, Jocelyn & Victor opened their next clue to find a Detour choice: Stock Up or Scoop Up. Stock Up sent teams into a bustling marketplace to find specific items using just a basket and a handcart, requiring speed and accurate shopping. Scoop Up required teams to load and unload pomelos from a boat — a physically demanding river task that needed coordination and stamina. Jocelyn & Victor chose the market challenge, while Rob & Corey opted for the riverside Scoop Up.
Teams split across both Detour options. Jocelyn & Victor navigated the marketplace efficiently, locating the required items and moving quickly toward the Pit Stop at Suan Sampran. On the river, Rob & Corey loaded pomelos into a boat and worked through the physical challenge to clear their Detour. As the leg unfolded, Joel & Garrett accidentally left behind a fanny pack when they drove away from the Roadblock; they realized it while en route in a taxi and had their driver turn back to retrieve it, a misstep that cost them valuable minutes.
After finishing their Detour tasks, teams raced to Suan Sampran for the Pit Stop. Jocelyn & Victor arrived first and greeted host Phil Keoghan to claim the leg win and the $2,000 each cash prize. Rob & Corey followed to take second place. Greg & John, having recovered from their earlier delay, secured third place. Morgan & Lena used their experience to move quickly through the Detour and finished as the fourth team to check in.
As the episode continued, Joel & Garrett, Steve & Anna Leigh, Joe & Ian, Liam & Yeremi, and Andrea & Malaina all completed their Detours and arrived at the Pit Stop in succession. Robbin & Chelsea struggled early but eventually completed the Roadblock and pressed through their Detour. In the end, Robbin & Chelsea managed to reach the Pit Stop in 11th place. Elizabeth & Iliana were the final team to arrive and were eliminated from the race; they expressed gratitude for the experience despite missing the chance to continue competing for the grand prize.
