The Voice 24 Top 9: Poll Results and Predictions
The Voice Season 24 Top 9 LIVE PLAYOFFS results air tonight (Dec 12) on NBC at 9 pm ET/PT. At the end of the episode, America’s votes will reveal the Top 9. The format for this round is straightforward: America will name four artists as safe, while the bottom five enter the Instant Save. The Instant Save winner joins the four safe artists to form the Top 5.
Fan Poll Results Overview
Readers have been casting votes in our polls throughout the day. Below are the results from those polls, followed by an analysis and my predictions about who will advance and who will be eliminated.
Favorite Top 9 Performance
The poll for favorite performance is close at the top. Huntley and Nini Iris are nearly tied, frequently trading places as votes come in, so they effectively share the lead. Lila Forde and Mara Justine are close behind, making the top four a tight cluster. Ruby Leigh rounds out the top five, with a larger drop-off in support after that.
- Huntley – Team Niall – “Way Down We Go” by Kaleo – 20.00%
- Nini Iris – Team Niall – “No Time to Die” by Billie Eilish – 19.77%
- Lila Forde – Team Legend – “River” by Joni Mitchell – 17.24%
- Mara Justine – Team Niall – “Parachute” by Chris Stapleton – 16.55%
- Ruby Leigh – Team Reba – “Take Me Home, Country Roads” by John Denver – 11.95%

- Jordan Rainer – Team Reba – “Ol’ Red” by Blake Shelton – 3.45%
- BIAS – Team Gwen – “Bless the Broken Road” by Rascal Flatts – 2.07%
Favorite Top 9 Trio Performance
When it came to the trio performances, fans favored the powerful vocal blend of a diva-style trio. While some readers praised the tight harmonies of “Mean,” the more dramatic, high-energy trio captured the majority of votes.
- Jacquie Roar, Nini Iris, Mara Justine – “Don’t Blame Me” – 53.13%
- BIAS, Ruby Leigh, Jordan Rainer – “Mean” – 26.39%
- Huntley, Lila Forde, Mac Royals – “Exile” – 20.49%
Who Fans Think SHOULD Go Home
Voters answered who they felt should leave the competition, and the results mirror the “will go home” predictions: many fans expect Team Gwen to be without representation in the finale. The top four names fans selected as those who should go are listed below, with BIAS leading that vote.
- BIAS – Team Gwen – 23.34%
- Jordan Rainer – Team Reba – 19.82%
- Mac Royals – Team Legend – 17.87%
- Jacquie Roar – Team Reba – 11.72%
- Ruby Leigh – Team Reba – 7.71%
- Lila Forde – Team Legend – 6.25%
- Nini Iris – Team Niall – 5.08%
- Mara Justine – Team Niall – 4.30%
- Huntley – Team Niall – 3.91%
Who Fans Think WILL Go Home
The “will go home” poll closely matches the “should go home” results, reinforcing the perception that certain contestants may struggle to reach the finale. Again, BIAS tops the list in these predictions.
- BIAS – Team Gwen – 22.44%
- Jordan Rainer – Team Reba – 20.84%
- Mac Royals – Team Legend – 19.24%
- Jacquie Roar – Team Reba – 12.90%
- Lila Forde – Team Legend – 7.40%
- Nini Iris – Team Niall – 5.80%
- Ruby Leigh – Team Reba – 5.19%
- Mara Justine – Team Niall – 3.97%
- Huntley – Team Niall – 2.21%
My Predictions and Analysis
Looking at the poll results and tonight’s performances, I concur with the consensus that Team Gwen will likely be without a finalist. BIAS appears vulnerable, and his song choice didn’t help strengthen his position in the polls. Jordan Rainer gave a committed country performance but faces stiff competition within the genre this season and likely won’t advance. Jacquie Roar from Team Reba also seems likely to exit despite a strong presence on stage.
On the other hand, I’m more optimistic about Mac Royals than the polls suggest. He represents the only true R&B voice left in the competition, and that distinctiveness can rally a dedicated audience. Meanwhile, Huntley, Mara Justine, and Nini Iris look poised to move on to the finale based on both fan support and consistent performances.
Ruby Leigh didn’t have her strongest night, but she appears to have a solid fan base that could carry her through an Instant Save if necessary. Lila Forde benefited from a prominent broadcast slot, which may boost her visibility and votes; she could edge into the Top 5 depending on how viewers respond.
Final prediction for the Top 5: Huntley, Mara Justine, Nini Iris, Ruby Leigh, and Mac Royals. That said, Lila Forde has the potential to replace Mac Royals if her momentum continues. This season is competitive, and small shifts in voting or a strong Instant Save performance could change the outcome. Tune in tonight to see how America votes and which five artists move forward to the finale.
