NBC has announced the cast for America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League, a new spin-off that reunites standout performers from America’s Got Talent and Got Talent franchises around the world. The series brings together 40 acts—winners, finalists, viral sensations and fan favorites—who will compete under a fresh competitive format that combines the excitement of a talent competition with the strategy of a fantasy draft.

Simon Cowell, who serves as executive producer, returns to the panel alongside judges Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Mel B. Terry Crews hosts the series.

The new series premieres Monday, Jan. 1 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC and will be available the next day on Peacock. All 40 acts were nominated by viewers from a list presented following the America’s Got Talent 2023 finale, making this an audience-driven selection that highlights fan favorites from multiple seasons and international editions.

AGT: Fantasy League uses a draft-style structure: each judge builds a team of 10 acts, selecting from singers, dancers, magicians, comedians, aerialists, acrobatic troupes and unique variety performers. For the first time in the show’s history, the judges are active competitors—each aims to guide an act from their roster to the championship and earn bragging rights as the winning judge.

The season features a modified Golden Buzzer mechanic. During the qualifier and semi-final rounds, judges can use their Golden Buzzer to send an act directly to the finals. The twist: a judge may use the Golden Buzzer either on an act from their own team or to propel an act from another judge’s team into the finals, creating strategic opportunities and added drama.

Throughout the season, the studio audience determines which acts move forward. Their weekly votes decide which performers advance to the semi-finals and ultimately the final rounds. The winning act will take home a grand prize of $250,000.

This edition highlights the global reach and variety of the Got Talent franchise. The 40 competitors include award-winning vocalists, inventive magicians, precision dance troupes, jaw-dropping acrobats, heartfelt singers and viral stars whose performances have resonated with audiences worldwide. The format aims to showcase both established favorites and memorable moments from prior seasons, offering viewers a chance to see familiar acts return to the stage under new stakes.

Judges will need to balance personal preference with strategy as they assemble their teams. With only 10 picks each, decisions will hinge on act diversity, consistency under pressure and live performance appeal—factors that matter to both the judges and the voting audience. The Golden Buzzer twist adds a further layer: a single strategic buzzer press can dramatically reshape the finals lineup, especially if judges choose to intervene in rival teams.

AGT: Fantasy League promises high-energy performances, inventive staging and the camaraderie and competition that have defined the franchise.
