Dancing with the Stars 2025: Season 34 Week 7 Halloween Night dance styles and song choices

For Week 7, the remaining couples on Dancing with the Stars lean into the spooky season for Halloween Night. Two-time Mirrorball champion Cheryl Burke returns to the ballroom as a guest judge. The special Halloween episode airs TUESDAY, OCT. 28 (8:00–10:00 p.m. EDT/PDT, 7:00–9:00 p.m. CDT), simulcast live across ABC and Disney+ in local time zones and available the following day on Hulu. The episode is produced in front of a live audience by BBC Studios.

This Halloween edition features several themed performances, including routines set to “Sympathy is a Knife” by Charli XCX featuring Ariana Grande and “The Dead Dance” by Lady Gaga. Jan Ravnik and Jenna Johnson will dance to Taylor Swift’s “CANCELLED!” as part of the night’s lineup. The evening blends dramatic choreography, eerie musical selections and theatrical costuming as dancers push creative boundaries for the holiday-inspired show.

The dance marathon returns

A highlight of the night is the return of the marathon format, billed this season as the “Dance Monster-thon.” All nine couples will share the ballroom floor simultaneously, first dancing a Hustle and then switching into a high-energy Lindy Hop. Judges will tap out couples one at a time during the marathon, awarding additional bonus points based on the order in which couples are eliminated. The last couple standing earns the top bonus and will be crowned the king and queen of the Dance Monster-thon.

Those marathon bonus points will be added to the judges’ scores from the first-round performances to create a final combined leaderboard for the night. During the marathon, the couples will perform the Hustle to “Murder On The Dancefloor” by Sophie Ellis-Bextor and the Lindy Hop to “A Little Party Never Killed Nobody (All We Got)” by Fergie, Q-Tip and GoonRock, giving competitors a chance to show stamina, showmanship and adaptability under pressure.

How to vote

Fans can vote live during the simulcast of the show in the Eastern and Central time zones. Online voting will be available to viewers in the United States, its territories and Canada via dwtsvote.abc.com during the live broadcast window. Participating U.S. wireless carriers will also offer SMS/text voting (note: viewers in Canada cannot vote via SMS/text). Live viewer votes from Dedication Night and Wicked Night will be combined with judges’ scores from both weeks to determine which couples may be in jeopardy of elimination after two weeks of competition.
