
Dancing with the Stars 2025: Season 34 Week 8 — Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Night dance styles and song choices
Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars heads into Week 8 with a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame-themed show that celebrates legendary artists and classic hits. The episode premieres TUESDAY, NOV. 4 (8:00–10:02 p.m. EST/PST, 7:00–9:02 p.m. CST), airing live on ABC and simulcast on Disney+ in local time zones, with next-day availability on Hulu. This special night features guest representation from Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees and a judging panel augmented by a high-profile music figure.
Hall of Famer Flavor Flav will join the judges’ table for the evening, bringing his music industry perspective to the panel. The episode opens with a high-energy production number set to Def Leppard’s “Pour Some Sugar on Me” and Public Enemy’s “Fight the Power,” choreographed by Britt Stewart. Additional showcase pieces include a tour-style number to Outkast’s “Hey Ya!” staged by Mandy Moore, and a troupe performance to Stevie Wonder’s “Higher Ground.”
Co-hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough join the Team Dance
The fan-favorite team dance returns with a fresh twist: co-hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough will each join one of the competing teams. Both teams will perform to live sets from Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees Kool & the Gang and Chicago, giving the team round a celebratory, concert-like atmosphere.
Team Kool performs to a live rendition of “Celebration” by Kool & the Gang. Team Kool is led on stage by host Julianne Hough and features Andy (team captain) and Emma, Robert and Witney, Alix and Val, and Elaine and Alan.
Team Chicago dances to a live performance of “25 or 6 to 4” by Chicago. Team Chicago includes host Alfonso Ribeiro and consists of Danielle (team captain) and Pasha, Whitney and Mark, Jordan and Ezra, and Dylan and Daniella.

These pairings pair distinct ballroom and contemporary disciplines with iconic rock and pop songs, creating a blend of technical choreography and emotional storytelling. Several couples will tackle the dramatic Paso Doble, while contemporary and jazz routines offer space for expressive interpretations of beloved tracks. The team dances add a competitive group element and the opportunity for dramatic staging and live-music energy.
How to vote
Viewers can cast their votes during the live simulcast in the ET/CT time zones. Online voting will be available to eligible fans across the United States, its territories, and Canada at the official DWTS voting site. Participating U.S. wireless carriers also enable SMS/text voting for fans in the United States (note that Canadian viewers cannot vote via SMS/text). Votes cast during the live broadcast will be combined with the judges’ scores from both Dedication Night and Wicked Night to determine which couples may face elimination after two weeks of competition.
